Despite being released over two years ago, Red Dead Redemption 2 has enjoyed a massive amount of success and longevity. With a beautiful open world for players to explore, intuitive gameplay mechanics, and a wide range of activities and missions for players to exercise their user agency, Red Dead Redemption 2 certainly has a lot to offer players. Although, even after being released for so long, one player managed to do something rather disturbing in-game.
For how beloved the game is by so many players, Red Dead Redemption 2 is by no means a perfect game on a technical level. When the game first launched, players encountered glitches and bugs in various shapes and sizes. One Red Dead 2 glitch even took place while players were bathing, but even after being out so long and having been patched on every platform, players have still found a way to pull off some unnatural things within the game.

A Reddit user by the name of kishoresshenoy, managed to turn the playable character, Arthur Morgan, into a shadowy figure. The only facial features Arthur maintains in the clip is his hair and mouth. Everything else is just a black, shadowy mass wearing Arthur's clothes and bandolier. The clip itself is quite creepy to say the least.
It's strange that glitches like this can still occur in a game that has been out for so long and has already been patched numerous times. Then again, the sheer bulk of Red Dead related content to have been released in the last couple of years has primarily come in the form of Red Dead Online. Players will always push games to their absolute limits in order to accomplish feats that developers never intended to occur.
In many ways, the size and scale of Red Dead Redemption 2's overworld are both a blessing and a curse. Obviously, the large size of the world allows for players to do and see a lot within it, but the more players explore and push against the game's limitations, the greater the likelihood of something like this happening. Such as the bridge glitch in Red Dead 2 that allows players to visit hidden locations.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what else players can encounter within the game, whether the developers intended for it or not. Some of the oldest games ever made still contain hidden secrets that players have yet to encounter. For instance, one fan encountered a secret in Silent Hill 2 nearly twenty years after the game first released and that game wasn't nearly on the same technical scale as Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
