God of War is one Sony's oldest and most beloved franchises of all time. With an impressive catalog of games and with many in the community considering the most recent franchise entry to be one of the best games in the PS4 library, God of War has achieved a massive amount of success and has attracted a number of fans of all shapes and sizes.
The main character of God of War, Kratos, has become nothing short of a video game icon since his arrival on the PS2 back in 2005. Even after fifteen years, Kratos has remained a prominent character within the world of video games. Kratos even appeared in crossover art for Hades, a game that's still by all means new in terms of the video game industry. However, crossover art is not the only way the character has been celebrated and portrayed.

A wonderfully talented cosplayer/Twitch streamer by the name of Ash has produced an incredibly stunning, gender-swapped version of Kratos and it is impressive, to say the least. It's very reminiscent of the Resident Evil 3 Kratos mod, which allowed Jill Valentine to dress up as Kratos. Though, it's certainly more distinctive in-person compared to video game graphics.
There have certainly been a lot of impressive God of War cosplays, featuring both male and female versions of Kratos, but Ash certainly stands out in terms of her work, with the fur pauldron looking pretty spot-on from the 2018 game. Hopefully, the gaming community gets to see even more of her work in the near future.
The future certainly looks bright in terms of God of War. With the release of God of War (2018) still fresh in everyone's minds, it has given rise to a whole new generation of God of War fans that are likely discovering the series for the very first time. In that sense, it's nice to see that such an old franchise is still able to remain relevant in the modern age of gaming.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what comes of God of War in 2021. It's likely that God of War Ragnarok won't release in 2021, but that doesn't mean that fans will necessarily be bereft of any news regarding the development or release of the game. It's clear that Sony and Cory Barlog, the director of the most recent God of War entry, are keeping information pretty close to the chest regarding the game's development. Hopefully, that means that the finished product is something that both the developers and fans alike can be proud of.
