There are a ton of items used for crafting and the many quests (thankfully numbered for easy-tracking) found in Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom. One that the game tells players they may need prior to actually making said item easily attainable is Grass-Green Thread.

The best advice to get around this is to simply do the main quests until about mid-way or more into Chapter 4, as certain quests and opportunities unlock upon completing certain objectives in the world. Once that criterion has been met, it will be easy to find this reclusive resource.
- Complete Min-Ti's sidequest
- Buy Grass-Green Thread from Swift Solutions
- Loot it as a drop from foes or pick it up off the ground in the Rolling Hills area
Min-Ti's sidequest can be found in Goldpaw and should be manageable for any player around level 18. This quest can only be given part-way or more through Chapter 4, so be sure to do those main quests first before one bothers to look for any Grass-Green Thread. After completing Min-Ti's task, players will get 5 Grass-Green Thread as a reward as well as 500 Exp and 360 G.
Around the same point in the game, players can hit up Goldpaw's Swift Solutions merchant to trade in Tokens of Gratitude gained from quests for a plethora of vibrant and diverse items; one of which is the sought after Grass-Green Thread.

They cost 10 tokens each, so be sure to save up before attempting to buy any. Swift Solutions becomes very handy later on, therefore learning how to make the most of this widespread vendor chain would be beneficial in the long run. Taking a look at the Grass-Green Thread here, players can see below its description that more can possibly be found in the Rolling Hills area.
These green hillocks are found across the bridge just south of Ding Dong Dell and then a bit to the east. Here, if one walks around enough, they will find Grass-Green Thread as items that spawn randomly in the world. Players can also fight enemies in this region for some EXP and G as well, if simply ambling about the area waiting for free items to respawn is too boring.
