Look no further than Yang Binglin, an 86-year-old Chinese grandfather who very much enjoys video games as a personal hobby. He was introduced to the video game medium by his grandchildren to playing on the PlayStation and has continued to play video games ever since. He would go on to adopt video gaming as another hobby of his in his daily life that he enjoys on his own and with his family.

According to a video by the South China Morning Post, Yang Banglin has played and completed well over 300 games on his own. This gamer has been keeping up with all the latest game releases. Some of the games he's played include familiar titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and even the more recent Cyberpunk 2077. Yang Binglin keeps most of his games safe in blue treasure boxes and even makes his own strategy notes on the games when he can.
According to the video, Yang Binglin worked as an engineer who always had an interest in technology. He first started playing puzzle games with his grandson and made the jump to playing other types of video games, notably survival games. His favorite video game genre to play is horror-themed video games.
Yang himself would speak about his enjoyment of playing games as a fan for years now. He incorporated gaming into his daily routine after a morning of Ping-Pong practice then play games for several hours in the afternoon. In the video, Yang said that playing games gives him a lot of inspiration which he applies to his daily life. He would take notes after beating game missions and even write some lengthy reviews for games like God of War 3.
Yang's gaming hobby is supported by his family who sees it as a healthy one for him. His granddaughter began sharing his gaming videos online in 2018 and this has attracted over 200,000 follows on the country's social media. Yang even gives some words of advice for young gamers to enjoy playing games but make sure to manage their time properly while doing so.
