The newest patch to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night fixes a number of bugs with Miriam, bosses, and enemies, and resolves game crashing issues.

A new update to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been rolled out for all platforms, bringing it up to Version 1.21. This new update to the Metroidvania title was released for Steam last month and resolves some major issues, such as a New Game+ crash.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night initially released in 2019 as a spiritual successor to the Castlevania games from Konami following a successful campaign on Kickstarter. Since then, there have been quite a lot of updates, including one earlier this year that added a Classic Mode to Bloodstained and a crossover with the world of Kingdom Two Crowns. The developers have been responsive to user complaints, such as when resources were shifted to support bringing the Switch's version up to speed with other platforms, and now ArtPlay has rolled out another large update resolving issues.

Previously, players were experiencing issues such as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night not loading when using Windows 7 or 8, as well as a number of bugs with Classic Mode such as Bloodstained's protagonist Miriam walking in the wrong direction after a certain encounter, a small glitch with Gebel, some instances of bosses and enemies not moving, and the score looping to a negative number after maxing out.

But the biggest fixes ArtPlay has initiated with the recent update to Bloodstained is a final update to randomizer seeds that addresses a previous issue that invalidated seeds, but this also means some started or saved after Version 1.20 may not work following 1.21. Additionally, players should no longer experience crashing during New Game+.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
