Loop Hero is a simple looking, but deviously deep, rogue-like that innovates on the genre in some important ways. There are three classes with increasing complexity, including at least one that must worry about summon quality.
The Rogue is not that class, although it still has much to worry about. Loop Hero's second most complicated hero, the Rogue relies on striking hard and fast, with an emphasis on killing monsters and building towards a specific gimmick to the exclusion of most others. Here's a quick guide to help players make the most out of the Rogue's unique abilities and not get squished.

Several of the basic Loop Hero tips and tricks apply to the Rogue, but there are also points where it differs in an important way. For instance, the Rogue can equip two weapons, emphasizing attack over defense. This is also shown in the innate vampirism the Rogue has, healing on every hit. The Rogue must hit hard and hit fast to survive, so Evasion is also important.
The Rogue also has a unique method for getting equipment: trophies. Defeating enemies gets the Rogue trophies, and upon reaching the camp, these are turned in for several random pieces of equipment. Several of these will be useless, so getting rid of Loop Hero items for profit is recommended. Lastly, the Rogue gives a 10% bonus to any effect they have for each item equipped that gives that effect, allowing huge buildup of effects like vampirism, evasion, and attack speed.
It's very important to get many items as the Rogue, especially in the early game, but its cards that will allow the Rogue to do this. Packing the right deck is therefore essential. To get more Loop Hero equipment slots, Arsenal is highly recommended. Other golden cards like Maze of Memories take a much lower priority.
For more common cards, Spider Lairs and Graveyards are good picks, since the Rogue can blow through Spiders and Skeletons for lots of cards and trophies (respectively). It is recommended to pack Sand Dunes and Thickets (Desert and Forest) as well to place on the banks of a River. This will increase attack speed while lowering enemy health. Finally, a Blood Grove near the camp will kill the loop's boss once it reaches 15% health, a major boon for a difficult fight. Properly executed, the Rogue is easily the hardest hitter out of all three of Loop Hero's classes.
Loop Hero is available exclusively on PC.
