Monster Hunter Rise is just over the horizon, and fans are starting to get excited to see what Capcom's new take on the franchise will be like. Capitalizing on that excitement and helping to prepare newcomers to the franchise, a new trailer has just been released detailing "Hunting 101." This trailer shows what fans can expect from the point they accept a quest to the point when they finish it and are ready to start a new one, and even gives some tips for new hunters that will help them have the best chances of success.
As this video focuses on the basics of hunting in Monster Hunter Rise, longtime veterans of the series likely won't learn much from watching it, but it's still entertaining nonetheless. By contrast, this is a great way to get newcomers ready to start clearing quests and upgrading their gear, and before long there will be a new set of veteran monster hunters.

At the start of the trailer, players get a sneak peek at the hectic Rampage mode, in which hunters team up to take down many monsters all at once. After this, fans are treated to a step-by-step guide to questing in Monster Hunter Rise. First players must accept a quest, and then they should stock up on items and head over to the canteen. Eating a meal before a quest increases the player's stats and will make the hunt much easier all around. Now players are ready to begin the hunt.
Once the hunt starts, the trailer shows the hunter mount their Palamute and ride off in search of the monster. After a quick tip about searching for endemic life and learning the lay of the land, they manage to find the target and engage it in combat. Players will then need to defeat the monster and remember to carve it before the quest ends. With the materials gained from the fight, players can return to the village and craft new and more powerful weapons and armor. This is the core gameplay loop of Monster Hunter Rise, and the core of the franchise as a whole.
