On February 26, 2021, Bravely Default II released on the Nintendo Switch. It is the third entry in the Bravely video game series, following the release of Bravely Second: End Layer on April 23, 2015, and the original game Bravely Default on October 11, 2012. While the first two entries are related, Bravely Default II offers a whole new story, continent, and cast of charming characters.

Instead of taking place in the Caldis Region, this game takes place in the continent of Excillant. The story follows four main characters called the Heroes of Light, with Elvis being one of them. He is introduced to the player as a mere traveler but he proves to be so much more.
10 Elvis Is Smart
In case it was not obvious already judging by the way he looks, Elvis is a scholar. This means he is a distinguished academic who can outthink most people. On top of that, Elvis carries a book everywhere he goes.
It is safe to assume Elvis is an intelligent human being. When characters in video games (and movies, TV, etc.) carry around books, they almost always are classified as the smart ones.
9 Elvis Is On A Quest
Every member of the party in the game — Seth, Adelle, Gloria, and Elvis — is on a quest. All the heroes are fighting for the good of the people but each has their own personal mission too.
When it comes to Elvis, it is about knowledge. He carries around a book given to him by his mentor. Elvis's quest is to decipher the secrets of this book.
8 Elvis Is Larger Than Life Itself
The only way to describe Elvis's character would be larger-than-life. He has a very strong, lively personality that tends to leave an impression on others.

That being said, Elvis also comes off as exaggerated and perhaps more important than he actually is. One thing is for sure though, Elvis has quite a relaxed attitude and does not worry much when it comes to the little things.
7 Elvis Holds The Librarian
Eventually, during their journey, Seth, Adelle, Gloria, and Elvis come across the Bravebearer asterisk. And it goes to Seth, naturally.
But right after this discovery, it is revealed that the book Elvis was carrying around the whole time holds the asterisk of the Librarian. Not only that, but the party also finds out his asterisk is the key to destroying the Night's Nexus. Destroy the book, destroy the Night's Nexus.
6 Elvis Is Middle-Aged
Despite Adelle calling him "old man" all the time, Elvis is actually middle-aged. So, he is not quite a young adult like the rest of the party but he is also not of old age (yet).
It could be inferred that Elvis is between the ages of 40 and 60. He is likely not over the age of 60, or even in his 50s however. Elvis is probably in his 40s, the player can assume.
5 Elvis Is A Black Mage
While Elvis, just like Seth, Adelle, and Gloria, can change into any job, he exemplifies a Black Mage best. In the promotional material for the game, Elvis is wearing the attire of a Black Mage. He also joins the party as a Black Mage.
This means a black overcoat with a hood, black gloves, black pants, and black earrings. The only parts of his outfit that are not black are the yellow stripe on his black fedora, the white base on his black dress shoes, and the yellow tie/cravat.

That being said, Elvis shines best throughout the game as a Spiritmaster/Black Mage. The player can't go wrong either way, so Elvis's featured outfit may remain if desired. Elvis does best with this pair of jobs because he needs high magic defense while also having access to massive healing for the entire party.
Another solid pair of jobs for Elvis is Red Mage/Beastmaster. This is because his spells cost significant amounts of MP so he needs abilities to reduce costs. Elvis also has the option to capture weak monsters and unleash them on enemies with this pairing.
4 Elvis Is From Wiswald
The town of Wiswald is constructed across the branches of a giant tree. It is known as the forest of knowledge. Those who call Wiswald home are wise people who possess magical gifts (scholars).
It is no wonder Elvis hails from here, as he exemplifies the town's personality perfectly. Like most of the other main characters, Elvis ventures away from his home in pursuit of something that can't be found in Wiswald.
3 Elvis Looks Dapper
In his default outfit as a Freelancer, Elvis wears a tan overcoat with a yellow flower on it as well as a blue scarf, red undershirt, white gloves, gray plaid pants, black socks, and black leather boots.
Underneath these fancy clothes, Elvis has long brown hair tied back into a ponytail, a neatly trimmed beard and goatee, and bright blue eyes.
2 Elvis Understands Orpheus
At some point in the story, Seth, Adelle, Gloria, and Elvis defeat Orpheus and recover the asterisk. Elvis taps into this asterisk and soaks up some knowledge using his trusty book. Somehow, he can see into the past of Orpheus.
Unfortunately, this feat stuns everyone around Elvis; the shock is so paralyzing that Orpheus manages to escape from the party's grasp.
1 Elvis Is Voiced By Steven Cree
The voice actor for Elvis is Steven Cree, who is most notably known for his role as Ian Murray in Outlander (2014). He was also in Brave (2012), 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), and Maleficent (2014). He also appeared in Terminator: Dark Fate and a string of theatre productions, including Macbeth.
Cree previously lent his voice to Forza Horizon 4, making Bravely Default II only his second role in the video game industry.
