Notoriously difficult indie 3D platformer Blue Fire will soon be making the jump to Google's Stadia cloud game streaming platform.

Google has shuttered its first-party studios that were developing games exclusively for the Stadia cloud service. But while Google will no longer be producing its own games for the Stadia platform, that doesn't mean new games aren't still coming to it. On the contrary, new games are announced for Google Stadia on a regular basis, with the latest game joining the lineup being none other than the tough-as-nails indie platformer Blue Fire. A specific release date wasn't revealed, but fans can expect the game to launch this spring.

Blue Fire, for the uninitiated, is a 3D platformer that combines elements of The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls franchises. Blue Fire earned mixed reviews for its PC and Nintendo Switch release, so it will be interesting to see if the Stadia version fares any better. The Stadia platform technically has more horsepower than the Nintendo Switch, so perhaps the Stadia version will perform better than the Switch version at the very least.

In any case, Blue Fire is still a new game that Stadia fans can add to their library, which is good news for fans of the platform. It could also be a sign that Blue Fire will soon be making its way to other consoles as well. As it stands, Blue Fire is only available for PC and Nintendo Switch, so PlayStation and Xbox gamers have been left out so far.

In the meantime, there are some other games coming out soon for Stadia fans to look forward to as well. One of the biggest ones is Outriders, which is set to launch for the cloud gaming service on April 1.

Blue Fire is out now for PC and Switch, with a Stadia release coming soon.
