Microsoft has finalized its acquisition of Bethesda, and fans are anxious for updates on the company's games. Some expected big news during the Bethesda Joins Xbox Roundtable, but Microsoft was clear that big reveals would not be a part of the presentation. However, the Roundtable didn't leave Bethesda fans completely emptyhanded. On the contrary, it confirmed when fans may be able to expect Bethesda game announcements.
It was teased during the Bethesda Joins Xbox Roundtable that Bethesda game announcements will take place this summer. A specific month or date wasn't revealed, but it seems likely that it will be part of Microsoft's E3 2021 presentation. Of course, that's assuming Microsoft is even having an E3 2021 presentation. But even if it doesn't participate at E3, it's likely Microsoft will have some kind of equivalent presentation this summer to show games to fans.

Bethesda has had a consistent presence at E3 for the past few years (minus 2020 when E3 was canceled), using the show to make major game announcements. In fact, Bethesda has oftentimes had some of the more noteworthy E3 presentations, like when it officially revealed Fallout 4. It's unclear if Bethesda will have its own presentations still or if Bethesda's titles will instead be used to bolster Microsoft's own presentations.
Of course, all of this is just speculation at this time. Specific details about Microsoft and Bethesda's summer plans were not revealed during the Roundtable. And with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic still having an impact on the industry, there's always the chance that plans could change as well. As we get closer to the summer months, Bethesda and Microsoft should have more to share with fans.
When Bethesda does show more of its games, it's unclear exactly what it will be showcasing, but smart money is on the sci-fi RPG Starfield. Starfield is the next big RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, the studio that has produced some of the company's most popular games. It seems unlikely that The Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be one of the games shown, but maybe fans will get an update of some kind on what the game will entail.
Until more details are made available, all fans can do is speculate. When Bethesda and Microsoft decide to make more announcements this summer, hopefully some of the speculation about the companies' future can be put to rest. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Bethesda games coming to Xbox Game Pass.
