A tweet from another witcher confirmed things are running back on track for Netflix and Cavill as the show looks wrap up filming by March.

The Witcher is reportedly back on track for production of its second season after Netflix’s hit fantasy series suffered yet another unforeseen delay when star Henry Cavill picked up a leg injury right before the show went on a planned Christmas break.

Since then, fans of The Witcher have had to do with small easter eggs and teasers shared by the series’ social media accounts which shine a brighter light on some elements from the show’s world, like the beasts that inhabit it, first look at pages from season two or even holiday-themed video edits and a bloopers reel. Aside from that, not much was said of when the show would resume work on its second season until now.

In a Twitter post made by Paul Bullion, who will play Lambert a fellow witcher to Geralt of Rivia, the actor reported being back on set filming for the show's new season which will likely see Ciri and Geralt travel to Kaer Morhen for the young girl’s training. At the same time, Redanian Intelligence claims that Cavill has recovered from his hamstring injury and is now working on The Witcher again.

In The Witcher’s novels and games, the character of Lambert is one of very few remaining witchers in the Continent having been raised in Kaer Morhen just like Geralt, though his general demeanor differs much from him, even being resentful towards everyone’s favorite witcher at times. Alongside Bullion, season two will see several other new additions to the cast, among them Game of Thrones’ Kristofer Hivju who will play the role of Nivellen.

As for Cavill, after the incident suffered while shooting an action scene for The Witcher his injury ended up being a tad more serious than initially expected, keeping the actor from fulfilling his fitness routines until a little over a week ago. Though Cavill surely used his time to catch up on his gaming, it’s not clear how much this will delay The Witcher’s season two.

Filming for The Witcher is speculated to wrap up towards March, thus boosting rumors that season two could transform into a late-year arrival on Netflix after delays caused by the pandemic. For now, the law of destiny seems to favor the show moving forward.

The Witcher season two is coming to Netflix in 2021.
