The Gold Edition includes the base game, the Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 DLCs, and the End of Zoe chapter, making it a perfect introduction to the later Resident Evil timeline prior to the release of Resident Evil 8. Other deals see the recent Resident Evil remakes discounted significantly, with Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield's adventure through Racoon City Police Department in Resident Evil 2 coming in at $15.99 for a base copy and $19.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Meanwhile, Jill Valentine's revamped battle against Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 comes in at $19.79, with the more expansive Racoon City Edition clocking in at $31.99.
For those who are caught up on the later entries in the series but want to dive back into the classics, Resident Evil 0 is available for $4.99 or in a pack with the remake of the first Resident Evil, with the bundle going for $9.99. Those wanting some of the more action-heavy titles can also purchase Resident Evil 4, 5, or 6 separately for $7.99 or invest in a bundle of the three games which is priced at $23.79. Finally, players can also pick up Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2, with the former costing $7.99 and the latter $11.99. As with the other bundle, they can also be purchased together for $15.99.
Whether a new fan looking to find out what all the hype's about or a seasoned veteran wanting to return to the classics, the sale is sure to entice many to return to the series in the wake of what's looking to be an action-packed showcase this Thursday. Early rumors are already painting the broadcast out to be a big moment for the Resident Evil franchise, with it potentially confirming a release date for the upcoming 8th mainline entry as well as some long-rumored projects. Regardless, the Xbox sale will conclude on January 25.
