Balan Wonderworld is a bizarre 3D platformer that has turned heads thanks to its art style, its huge number of unlockable costumes, and the fact that it's being developed by the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights Into Dreams. Balan Wonderworld's release date is still a couple of months away, but 3D platforming fans looking forward to the game will have the chance to try it out ahead of schedule.
It's been announced that a Balan Wonderworld demo will be available beginning January 28. The demo will be available on every platform that the game itself is releasing on, meaning players can download it across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch. Exact details of what the demo will entail were not revealed in the announcement, so fans will have to find out themselves when the demo launches on January 28.

While the extent of the Balan Wonderworld demo wasn't revealed in the announcement, it was confirmed that the demo will support the game's local co-op mode. Beyond that, however, nothing else is known about the demo, though perhaps previously released Balan Wonderworld footage can give fans a general idea of what they can expect come January 28.
Balan Wonderworld comes at a time when the 3D platformer has enjoyed a resurgence of sorts, with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time launching last year and next month seeing the release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It will be interesting to see if the game is able to live up to the genre's heavyweights when it launches in March.
Balan Wonderworld launches March 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
