A special event is running in Genshin Impact, and players will want to join in fast to cook up some tasty meals and collect great rewards.

Fans of Genshin Impact will know the game is consistently receiving new updates and content. Now, developer miHoYo has brought another limited-time event to the title for players to enjoy. The activity, A Wanmin Welcome, provides a minigame and special rewards. Those currently playing Genshin Impact will want to get in on the celebration before it ends.

Fortunately, A Wanmin Welcome starts today, March 16, and runs until March 25, giving plenty of time to join in. The player, known as the Traveller, works with Xiangling to whip up delicious dishes for customers of the Wanmin Restaurant. If that is not enough of a draw, each meal will provide 50 Primogems, which earn players more Wishes in Genshin Impact.

Like the previous web events, this one requires logging into the official miHoYo website. From there, just choose the pertinent region and navigate to the main event page. Players can rest easy knowing that this festival relies on a minigame rather than RNG like the Wish Upon A Lantern event. Veterans will recognize the cooking activity from the main game, and easily be able to perform it. Simply click the button to start, and use timing to click the spoon when it is over the highlighted area.

Each meal has six different dishes that the Traveller needs to cook up to receive the rewards. The downside is that these all need cooking attempts to perform. By logging into the web event daily, fans can earn an individual attempt. Other than that, expect to play a bunch of activities within Genshin Impact itself to get more. Daily challenges and other tasks also provide cooking attempts during the event, but keep in mind only three can be received a day.

For gamers who are trying to earn all the rewards possible, they will need to use both methods to get cooking attempts. For every meal set fans complete, their accounts get 50 Primogems. To making participating even more enticing, miHoYo is also handing out EXP items, Enhancement Ores, and Mora. With more EXP items, players struggling to level up fast in Genshin Impact will have another way to complete that grind.

Though, the icing on the cake is that the meals fans create do not just go into the void. Every single one that players cook up will be added to their inventories within Genshin Impact. This can be really helpful when just starting off and do not know the locations for recipes necessary for cooking. For fans and chefs alike, taking part in A Wanmin Welcome event is well worth the investment of time for these rewards.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
