Destruction AllStars has been available for PlayStation 5 gamers for about a month now, with regular updates since launch to address fan feedback and tweaking things in the game. Now the Destruction AllStars developers are focused on some of the more substantial content for the game, recently revealing details on what fans can expect from its first season.
Starting today, Destruction AllStars players can try the Bluefang Challenge Series, which is the latest single-player experience in the game. The game launched with only a handful of Challenge Series, so this should be well-received by fans that have enjoyed the solo mode so far. Meanwhile, Season 1: Hotshots will be introducing a proper competitive game mode called Blitz, which will see four teams of three battle it out. More details on what exactly Blitz will entail will be revealed at a later date.

Season 1 of Destruction AllStars will also include a Battle Pass, which is typical of live service games like this. As usual, there will be a free version of the Battle Pass as well as a paid version, so players should still unlock at least some content, even if they don't splurge on the Battle Pass itself.
Besides new game modes and cosmetics, Destruction AllStars can look forward to new features in Season 1 as well. The developers have confirmed that a Photo Mode will be coming to the game, though it will only be usable in single player game modes. Having a photo mode in Destruction AllStars' online multiplayer matches would be problematic for a number of reasons, so it makes sense that this feature is strictly for solo players.
And finally, those playing Destruction AllStars Season 1 can look forward to the addition of a new playable AllStar. Lucid Games isn't ready to reveal more details about the new character, but similarly to the competitive Blitz mode, fans should learn more sooner rather than later.
While Destruction AllStars hasn't been the knockout hit game that some may have hoped it to be, there's no denying that the developers have been taking fan feedback seriously and working hard to improve the game. Destruction AllStars fixed its voice chat problem mere days after it launched, and the developers have also addressed feedback about Mayhem being solo-only by adding a team-based 8v8 option. The seasonal content should go a long way in making the game an even more worthwhile experience, so like with other live service games, Destruction AllStars should improve greatly with time.
