Life is Strange: True Colors will feature Twitch streamer and musician mxmtoon, also known as Maia, as the protagonist Alex's singing voice.

Following the highly-anticipated announcement of Life is Strange: True Colors, singer-songwriter and Twitch streamer mxmtoon, also known by her first name Maia, will be joining the cast as Alex Chen's in-game singing voice.

A couple weeks back, rumors surrounding the third installment in the main Life is Strange series began circulating. Now, with the Square Enix Presents showcase earlier today, it looks like the rumors were dead-on. The game will prominently feature Alex, an Asian-American woman returning to her hometown in the midwestern town of Haven Springs. The story will largely encompass Alex as she struggles with the loss of her brother Gabe, but along with her psychic power referred to as empathy, Alex is also an experienced musician, detailed in the trailers and in-depth look of Life is Strange: True Colors.

During the showcase, mxmtoon appeared to announce that she will be voicing Alex's singing voice in Life is Strange: True Colors alongside Alex's main voice actress, Ericka Mori. Square Enix also previewed Maia as Alex's singing voice with a cover of "Creep" by Radiohead, not unlike The Last of Us 2's cover of the same song.

While mxmtoon is most commonly known as a musician and singer, she also often streams gaming on Twitch, such as her recent Little Nightmares 2 series. In the Square Enix showcase, Maia also says that she's a "huge" Life is Strange fan. Perhaps she plans to stream the game on her Twitch channel.

As a talented musician, Life is Strange: True Colors players can hopefully expect mxmtoon to be featured in several songs on Life is Strange: True Color's soundtrack, which will likely follow in the stunning reputation of the Life is Strange series.

Life is Strange: True Colors launches September 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
