There has been a lot of excitement around the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game lately. Super Mario-themed items just recently hit it earlier this month, an upcoming Sanrio-themed collaboration will bring fans amiibo cards with brand new villagers and items; and the game's 1-year anniversary update was just rolled out today, bringing players an update to the Custom Design feature, as well as a commemorative 1st Anniversary Cake in their in-game mailboxes.
Earlier this week, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players were able to celebrate Shamrock Day, the in-game equivalent to St. Patrick's Day, which included limited-time items like the Shamrock Doorplate, Shamrock Soda, and Shamrock Rug. And even though the game recently celebrated Pi Day as well, it looks like it will be celebrating a South Korean holiday as well as Earth Day next month.

Over on Twitter, Nintendo of America announced that April 4 marks the South Korean holiday known as "Singmogil," a day for planting trees and caring for forests. Additionally, fans can celebrate Nature Day, the in-game equivalent to Earth Day, which takes place on April 22. For both holidays, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will be able to celebrate by purchasing limited-time in-game items between certain dates.
In celebration of Singmogil, fans will have the opportunity to order a Forsythia plant from the in-game Nook Stop from April 4 to April 10. For Nature Day, New Horizons players can complete special nature-related Nook Miles+ activities, as well as see more visits from Leif. Prior to the Nature Day celebrations, fans can order a limited-time Cool Globe from April 15 to April 22. At the moment, it is currently unknown how much each item will cost in-game. It's worth noting that in past Animal Crossing games, the Cool Globe was given out as a gift on Nature Day by Isabelle in New Leaf, and Tortimer in City Folk.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will also celebrate April Fool's Day and Prom very soon. Until April 1, fans can purchase in-game Whoopie Cushion items in a variety of colors to prank their friends. After April Fool's Day, Prom-themed items will become available until April 30, featuring a Prom Wall, Prom Night Flooring, a Prom Sash, as well as different Prom-themed clothing items in the Able Sisters shop.
Although fans felt that New Horizons started off missing a decent amount of content, plenty of updates since its initial release have padded out the game in a variety of ways, adding loads of new items, characters, events, and much more. It will be interesting to see what else Nintendo has in store for Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the coming months.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
