A recent developer post for Valheim provides an update on the status for Hearth and Home along with a cryptic image from the developers.

Since its launch, Valheim made an impact with players, garnering quite a bit of community support. The developers have also been hard at work adapting to new workspaces while crafting new updates for Valheim.

A recent developer update from Iron Gate Studios revealed some of the progress that's been made on Valheim. The update revealed the status of a couple of bugs being worked on and issues being addressed in the game. It also shed some information on the upcoming Hearth and Home update and even provides a teaser image to go with it.

In the post, the developers directly tackle the status of Valheim's roadmap, specifically, the Hearth and Home update. In response, the post reveals that the developers have been primarily focusing on playtesting and bug fixing for the game. The post didn't share a release date for the update. However, now that things are calming down for the developer after the game's launch, the team will be directing its efforts toward working on Valheim's first big update. Also, the post shared a new image from the developers' lead artist to go with the developer update.

The image itself is meant to spark player speculation about what it could indicate for the future update. The developers could be exploring more of Norse mythology in Valheim. The bird could be one of the legendary ravens belonging to Odin, leader of the Norse pantheon of Aesir gods. It could be either Hugin or Munin, two iconic ravens from Norse mythology who serve as the eyes and ears of Odin himself. Or it could just be an ominous-looking bird.

Of course, this is speculation until the developers confirm it or release more information about the image and its significance. The developers also made the post to thank the support and passion Valheim has received from its players. It also covered the status of the developers since the game's launch and what the team has been doing since then.

Currently, the developers' programmer is hard at work on fixing various high-priority bugs and issues in the game. Many of which were reported by players. One of these includes adding balance tweaks to the infamous Deathsquito bug. The developer also provided a link to a list of reported bugs currently being addressed and some that have been fixed. Overall, the developers can't wait for players to see what's in store for them with the Hearth and Home update.

Valheim is available now on PC.
