New footage of Oscar Isaac's combat training for the upcoming Marvel film shows he's making really good progress.

It looks like Oscar Isaac is handling his Star Wars-to-Marvel transition well. The Rise of Skywalker star was recently featured in a short behind-the-scenes clip that showed his combat training for the upcoming Moon Knight television series, and from the looks of it, he's not messing around.

Isaac is shown practicing his fight choreography on a crew of stuntmen, all while sporting a grungy man bun. The video was captioned "Currently out of the office" and hashtagged with #TheOneYouSeeComing, the latter of which is a quote taken directly from the fifth issue of the Moon Knight comic books.

Intense training is expected for the role, considering that Moon Knight in the comics was a former boxer, Marine, and CIA operative. Isaac has reportedly been collaborating with a team of movement coordinators to perfect his skills and they have been working out of the Brooklyn Zoo indoor gymnastics center in New York amid the ongoing pandemic.

While not much has been revealed about the upcoming television series, we can take some hints from the original comics. Moon Knight follows the story of Marc Spector, a mercenary who found himself close to death after being betrayed by his employer, Raoul Bushman, during an archaeological dig. When Bushman left with the treasures that he took from the site, Spector was approached by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, who offered him a second chance at life. Upon resurrection, Spector became the vigilante crimefighter known as Moon Knight, and he ends up spending his early days seeking justice for what was done to him.

Many people often compare Moon Knight to DC Comics' Batman due to their similarities. For one, both characters are super-rich entrepreneurs who use their wealth to develop the high-tech weapons they utilize in combat. Their gadgets are also similar, including the boomerang-like throwables that they both use (Batman uses Batarangs, while Moon Knight uses Moonrangs). Perhaps the main difference between the two is that Moon Knight may have superhuman powers as a result of his encounter with Khonshu, whereas Batman does not. However, accounts of the hero's abilities have come into question, which is part of his characterization.

Joining Isaac in the cast is Ethan Hawke, who fans suspect will play Raoul Bushman, as well as May Calamawy, whose role is currently unknown. According to several sources, the series will consist of six episodes, similar to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and each episode will be around 40 to 50 minutes long.

Moon Knight is currently in development at Marvel Studios.
