Since the release of Watch Dogs: Legion, there have been numerous reports about the game's upcoming post-launch content. Ubisoft previously released a trailer showing some of the new content for Year 1, including a new story expansion and new playable heroes. For Watch Dogs players, their patience will be paying off this year.
A recent tweet revealed the Watch Dogs: Legion content roadmap for the upcoming months in 2021. The new roadmap provides several previews of the new content that will be arriving in the game, including late April, May, June, and August. However, in August, Watch Dogs: Legion will be adding a new playable hero on top of a new crossover event with the Assassin's Creed franchise.

In late August, Watch Dogs: Legion will feature the Assassin's Creed crossover as the new World Event. According to the roadmap, the crossover will be free content that's accessible to any owners of the game. At the time of writing, not much information has been released about the new crossover event. However, according to past comments from the game's live producer, Lathieeshe Thillainathan, the crossover is mainly fun fan-service between the two game franchises.
On top of the new crossover, Watch Dogs: Legion will also be adding a new playable hero called Darcy in August. The new character will come as part of the season pass, along with new missions starring the new hero as shown in the roadmap. Darcy will be a modern-day Assassin assisting DedSec and will have her own backstory and familiar Assassin's Creed gameplay. However, like the crossover event, she won't be canon to the Assassin's Creed franchise and will be a unique character for the game.
Darcy won't be the only new playable hero added to the game. Starting in late April, the game will add a new character with mind control abilities called Mina Sidhu and a new mission included with the season pass. Watch Dogs: Legion will also feature the return of Aiden Pearce, the first game's protagonist. Aiden will be available with the season pass.
The game will also add fan-favorite character Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 to the game as part of the season pass content, too. In late June, Watch Dogs: Legion will be adding its new story expansion Bloodline, which will star both Aiden Pearce and Wrench as the lead characters. The game will also introduce new co-op missions and multiplayer game modes, such as Tactical OP 2, PVP Invasion, and PVP Extraction for free in late May.
Watch Dogs: Legion players will have plenty to look forward to, whether it's the new playable heroes, the story expansion, or the Assassin's Creed crossover.
Watch Dogs: Legion is available now on Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
