Flames of Ambition brought a lot to Elder Scrolls Online. Here are all of the new features found in this DLC.

The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most popular MMORPGs out right now, going strong on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia since April 2014. Tamriel, the continent where the entire game takes place, is divided into nine provinces: Black Marsh, Cyrodiil, Elsweyr, Hammerfell, High Rock, Morrowind, Skyrim, the Summerset Isles, and Valenwood. And there are numerous locations and areas scattered throughout the land in between and around these zones, such as Deshaan and Gold Coast.

Flames of Ambition is a DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online that released on PC and Google Stadia on March 8 (2021) and releases on PS4 and Xbox One on March 16 (2021). It takes place in Deshaan and Gold Coast and introduced two new dungeons: The Cauldron and Black Drake Villa. Flames of Ambition is the beginning of the Gates of Oblivion adventure and the start of the Blackwood Chapter.

Flames of Ambition is the first DLC that is a part of the new theme in the game, Gates of Oblivion, which will run throughout the entirety of the year 2021. Those who choose to embark on this adventure will find out the desires as well as the ploys of Mehrunes Dagon, the Daedric Prince. The journey takes place 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which came out in March 2006.

One of the dungeons included in Flames of Ambition is The Cauldron, located in Deshaan. Players will find this zone in the mountains of western Deshaan, underneath ancient ritual sites and ruins. If they dare, adventurers must delve deep underground to rescue the citizens of a Dark Elf village and prevent the Waking Flame cult's dark Daedric ritual from happening before hell is unleashed. They fortunately will receive help from Dremora Lyranth.

The armor sets obtainable through The Cauldron are Baron Zaudrus, Dagon's Dominion, Foolkiler's Ward, and Unleashed Ritualist.

One of the dungeons included in Flames of Ambition is Black Drake Villa, located in Gold Coast. Up north, there is an abandoned villa that once served as a retreat for the Durcorach, the former emperor who was known as the Black Drake. Inside, deep below the surface, players will find a massive library. They must travel here with Eveli Shar-Arrow, the Wood Elf, in search of a specific book. But, upon arrival, the entire archive is set ablaze by the True-Sworn.

The armor sets obtainable through Black Drake Villa are Drake's Rush, Encratis's Behemoth, Kinras's Wrath, and True-Sworn Fury.

While some players in The Elder Scrolls Online decide to kill monsters or even each other, others just enjoy making the coolest homes ever. Fortunately, Flames of Ambition adds over 60 new pieces of furniture to the game. They are all either archaic-looking, red-hot, or both.

There is a well, a chandelier, a gate, pillars, a brazier, a coral formation, a comet (literally), a lamp, some lighting, statues, a mirror, a minecart, a foundation, a treadwheel, laboratory instruments, a medallion, archways, doors, fireplaces, flooring, platforms, stairways, a tower, walkways, walls, bookcases, mushrooms, and even music boxes and a grill.

Following Flames of Ambition and the Gates of Oblivion, the Blackwood Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online, will (hopefully) launch on June 1, 2021 for PC and Google Stadia and on June 8, 2021 for PS4 and Xbox One.

There is a new zone coming, Blackwood, and the entire story will revolve around Mehrunes Dagon (the Daedric Prince). Also, the game will have a new feature: the Companions System; players will be able to recruit NPCs to travel and fight alongside them. More dungeons and bosses and quests and world events will also be coming too.

A new Trial is coming soon too: Rockgrove, which will have 12 players trying to retake a village from Daedric-worshipping Argonians. They must prevent the tribe from summoning Mehrune Dagon's vicious army.

Additionally, the game will introduce Oblivion Portals. Players will find these portals in Blackwood. If they choose to enter, they must fight swarms of enemies until reaching the center to shut down Daedric constructs before they wreak havoc on Tamriel. There are also new items like the Lost Relics of Blackwood, to be found.

While Flames of Ambition brings new, fun things to do in The Elder Scrolls Online, there is also a significant redesign to the Campion System. Now, players can better tailor their characters and playstyles, according to ZeniMax Media, the developers of the game. This new-and-improved means three constellation groups so more options for creative and unique builds.

Additionally, the game now has a champion bar. Players can slot in up to four passive boons per cancellation, making each Champion Point more impactful.

The Character page in-game in The Elder Scrolls Online has been updated with the patch included with Flames of Ambition. Now, advanced stats such as Block Cost and Fire Resistance can be viewed. The character sheet includes additional values that were missing before, affected by Champion Points, abilities, gear, attributes, etc. This is meant to help players better understand their characters' combat potency, especially when experimenting with different builds.
