There are three locked doors in 'The Office' of Viscera Cleanup Detail, but finding the codes is easier than one might expect.

While playing through Viscera Cleanup Detailplayers will eventually find themselves up against three locked doors found in 'The Office' area. Each of these doors is locked with keypad, requiring a specific code to be entered in order for players to get in find out what's inside. While most games would task players with solving some kind of puzzle to figure out the code or even just tracking down a piece of paper with the code scribbled on it, that isn't the case here. Instead, players will have to rely on some good old-fashioned trial and error.

Thankfully, players won't have to try every combination, as even with the four digit door codes this would take hours. There are thousands of potential codes, so going through them all simply isn't realistic. Instead, players can manipulate what seems to be a fatal flaw in this lock's design that will allow them to puzzle out the code in a matter of minutes.

Since each door's code is randomized in every playthrough, it's impossible to simply look up the code and plug it in. That means no magic moments where the character clairvoyantly knows the code to a safe like in The Last of Us 2. To solve the door codes, players need to enter code 1111 and pay close attention to the screen. Immediately after entering a number, the screen will very briefly flash white if the number is in the right position. Continue down doing 2222, 3333, 4444, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888, and 9999, making a mental note of where the screen flashes.

This should work and be relatively easy for the first two doors, but things get tricky for the third door. In the previous cases, players only had to remember the value and position of four numbers in order to unlock them, but this door instead has a 17-digit code. The same exact method works to unlock it, but players will probably want to write down the number of each position when they find it, that way keeping track isn't so difficult.

The white flash is very brief and can be a bit difficult to see, so players will definitely need to focus. While this may sound like a pain, it doesn't take too terribly long and there are some important things found within these locked off areas. With enough patience and a bit of luck, it shouldn't be long before these pesky locked doors are open once again.
