Friday, March 26, Twitch and Xbox are partnering for a first-of-its-kind ID@Xbox indie game showcase event. The event will feature over 100 different games being made by international indie developers, with multiple new game announcements and gameplay trailers for at least 25 titles. One newly confirmed debut will be coming from publisher Devolver Digital, which teased the announcement on Twitter.
Virtually no information about the game Devolver will be revealing has been shared. There's no confirmation regarding which developer will be announcing the game, now what genre of game it will be. All that has been shared is a single piece of promotional art.

The piece of art that Devolver Digital shared online is a curiosity, to say the least. It features a grimy tabletop with a piece of parchment and feathers on top of it. The parchment features an image of a malevolent-looking creature, as well as a dotted line that ends at an X. It's difficult to see, but there's also what appears to be a faded map that's less clear behind the dotted line and creature on the map, which makes clear it's some sort of treasure map. The monster likely guards the treasure at the end.
If the art for the new game is any indication, it'll either be a pirate game or a treasure hunting game of some kind. Exact details will have to wait for the ID@Xbox event on Friday, which will be available to watch at 9:00 AM PT via the official Twitch Gaming or Xbox account on Twitch. Devolver Digital will be there, as will DrinkBox Studios, Curve Digital, and many, many more.
