The newest champion in League of Legends, Viego, is causing a lot of headaches for veterans of the game. The jungler was released to League of Legends in Patch 11.2 but hasn't dominated the ranks of solo queue quite yet. But specifically, the frustration caused by Viego is due more to how his abilities interact with other League of Legends champions, which have caused some incredibly weird outcomes.
Viego, the Ruined King, is able to possess the corpses of enemy champions he participates in killing via his passive, Sovereign Domain. This causes him to heal for a portion of the killed champion's maximum health, allows him to cast his ultimate, and unlocks all of that champion's basic abilities. In a sense, he is the opposite of the champion Sylas, who can steal the enemy's ultimate ability. Instead, Viego can steal all the other abilities of champions he takes down.

While this seems innocuous enough, allowing Viego to temporarily cast abilities like Kha'Zix's Leap, Jarvan's patented "flag-and-drag" combo, or fire Vayne's Silver Bolts has seemingly been far more chaotic than anticipated. Viego is able to make use of and interact with the passive abilities of his slain enemies, some of which persist after he has stopped possessing their corpses. Five, in particular, stand out as particularly weird.
When Viego kills Ornn, he not only gains access to his abilities like Volcanic Rupture and Bellows Breath, he also gets Ornn's passive, Living Forge. This passive not only allows Ornn to craft his own items without returning to the item shop, but it also allows him to upgrade his allies items into Masterwork items. Incredibly, Viego will also gain the ability to craft Masterwork items for his allies if he helps takedown Ornn and those crafted Masterwork items will stay in the teammate's inventory even after Viego loses Ornn's basic abilities. This could be an unintended glitch that gets patched, but for now, it seems having Viego might be just as good as having an Ornn.
This interaction isn't quite as game-breaking as Ornn's, but Viego also has a weird interaction with Fiddlesticks's passive, A Harmless Scarecrow. This replaces Fiddlesticks's trinket with a Scarecrow Effigy, which grants obscured vision and reveals enemy wards and hidden traps. The Effigy also looks like Fiddlesticks, so it can surprise enemies who walk into a brush and immediately flash away from what they thought was an enemy champion. Like Ornn, Viego will copy Fiddle's passive so that his trinkets are replaced with Effigies that will surprise enemies. Only these Effigies will look like Viego.
Somewhere between Ornn and Fiddlesticks on the "game-breaking" scale, if Viego is able to take down Azir, he will gain the Emperor of Shurima's passive, Shurima's Legacy. This allows Azir to place a Sun Disc on the ruins of destroyed turrets, creating another turret for his team. However, it appears that Viego will be able to place the Sun Disc on the spot where he claimed the soul of the possessed corpse (where the enemy champion died), which allows him to place towers in some weird places.
Another weird passive interaction, after Viego helps take down an enemy Bard, he gains the Traveler's Call passive. This two-part passive allows Bard to collect chimes that spawn in random locations across the map, and then empowers his auto attacks with Meeps, which join him based on the number of chimes he has collected. For Viego, though, he will be able to continue collecting chimes and gaining Meeps, even after he loses Bard's other abilities.
These last interactions have less to do with the champions' passives but are instead tied to their skins. If Viego is able to kill an enemy Sona equipped with the DJ Sona skin, or an Evelynn with the K/DA Evelynn skin, the music that both skins play throughout the game will persist after Viego is done possessing their corpse. While it has no impact on gameplay, it's nice to know that Viego players can alter their playlists in some games.
