Mobile game Fire Emblem Heroes’ latest Mythic Hero is an original character, Dagr: Sun’s Radiance, the princess of Jotunheimr.

Mobile gacha game Fire Emblem Heroes has revealed its latest Mythic Hero: Dagr, Sun's Radiance, an original character created for Book 5 of the game's story. Book 5 of Fire Emblem Heroes sees the protagonists traveling to many new lands to seek aid in defeating Fafnir, the king of the dvergar who desires conquest above all.

Dagr is a princess of Jotunheimr, kingdom of the giants, and the younger twin sister of Nott, who has made an appearance in the story but not yet been released as a playable character. Dagr is energetic, aggressive and enjoys fighting, but is willing to listen to the protagonists' side of the story and consider offering her help. Like many other Heroes characters, Dagr and Nott are inspired by characters from Norse mythology, in this case the giants representing day and night.

Dagr's trailer shows her fighting alongside a mechanical eagle - fitting Book 5's mech theme - and wielding an axe called Skinfaxi. She brings two new skills to the game, Sun-Twin Wing and Even Tempest 3. Sun-Twin Wing is exclusive to Dagr, while Even Tempest 3 can be inherited and used by other characters.

Mythic Hero Dagr will appear in a summoning focus beginning on March 30, 2021. She will be accompanied by other Legendary and Mythical Heroes, who will be available with an 8% summon rate. Joining Dagr are the dream goddess Freyja and the dvergar princess Reginn as well as Eirika from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening - who recently received a new in-game costume - and many others.

Fire Emblem Heroes recently celebrated its fourth anniversary. Players were able to vote in a "Choose Your Legends" popularity poll, with the winner receiving a special alternate version in the game later this year. To the surprise of fans, the nameless Gatekeeper from Fire Emblem: Three Houses won the poll by a landslide.

Fire Emblem Heroes is currently available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
