Players looking to fulfill the Cultural Exchange Request for Rondine in Monster Hunter Rise can use this guide to find the necessary items.

Monster Hunter Rise contains many quests for players to overcome. Not all quests are about slaying beasts, either. There are a number of Requests that the villagers of Kamura will ask of the hunter. These can range from collecting materials to snapping photos of wildlife. One such request from Rondine in the Buddy Plaza will unlock a new submarine to be used in procuring useful items, and it entails delivering rare Wisplanterns and Boatshells.

The items in question are "account items," a special type of collectible in Monster Hunter Rise that is immediately delivered upon pickup and rewards the player with points that can be exchanged for meals at the Tea Shop or items from Rondine. Since Wisplanterns and Boatshells are account items, players looking to complete the Cultural Exchange Request need only find the requisite number of items in the wild and then speak to Rondine once more for completion.

Wisplanterns are a commodity local to the Shrine Ruins area. They are gathered from the Shimmering Red Berry nodes. Finding them is a simple task by designating Shimmering Red Berries to be displayed on the detailed area map. They are mostly located in high-up places between areas 10 and 12, so players who have become deft users of the Wirebug will be able to reach them in style. There is not a guaranteed of picking up a Wisplantern from these nodes, so the hunter may need to gather from at least three different spots.

The Shrine Ruins also happens to be the primary habitat of Kelbi. These woodland creatures are likely to yield Warm Pelt if they are hunted. Players who happen across any Kelbi during an expedition would be wise to invest some time in gathering this material, which is important for certain equipment crafts.

The next destination is the Frost Islands area. Boatshells are a type of item that can be gathered from Oyster Bed nodes. Once again, it's possible to quickly find these items on the detailed map under the Special Items tab. There are places to pick them up between areas 4 and 7, and between 5 and 10. Oyster Beds can also yield Raftshells rather than Boatshells, so repeated attempts might be necessary.

The Frost Islands are also the site where rare Icium ore can be found. This material is necessary for some important gear upgrades. Players in the early stages of Monster Hunter Rise are sure to be clamoring for this precious ore, so it's worth the detour while in the area.

With the Cultural Exchange Request done, players will have expanded use of the services offered by Rondine. It's important to make use of the Argosy as much as possible to keep stocked up on materials. When in High Rank, players are likely to burn through Demondrugs, Flash Bombs, and traps. Preparedness is a key component of a successful hunter.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch. A PC release is slated for 2022.
