The release of new video game consoles is always followed by fans sharing the new systems in extravagant gaming setups. It seems that gaming setups get more and more elaborate with every new console that releases. However, with the release of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S, instead of setups featuring changing LED lights and lots of gadgets, gamers are sharing much simpler setups.
Some gamers may have entire rooms with custom seating, massive TVs, and bright lights, while others may be content with an empty room, a lawn chair, and wires running everywhere. Regardless of how simple or extravagant a setup may be, gamers have been proud to show off their space for gaming. PlayStation 5 players have recently been sharing their gaming setups, proving that happiness can be achieved with the bare minimum.

These simple setups show that gaming does not require more than a console, a TV, and perhaps a chair. Lack of furniture cannot stop these PlayStation 5 gamers from playing exclusives like Demon Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, or Ratchet and Clank.
The massive futuristic-looking PlayStation 5 console looks a little out-of-place in a lot of the barebones setups shared, which makes them even more hilarious. One fan shared his PlayStation 5 setup, which features the $500 console next to a roughly 20 inch Magnavox TV, possibly from the 80's or 90's. Although outdated, the TV is able to display the PS5 home screen, however may want to upgrade to get the full 4K experience.
Even with an extremely simple setup, PlayStation 5 gamers have access to many impressive features on the console. Recently, the PlayStation Play at Home program launched again, giving PlayStation owners a list of titles available to download for free until April 22nd. The list includes Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Enter the Gungeon, Subnautica, The Witness, and more. PlayStation players can also download the 2016 title Ratchet and Clank for the last time today.
PlayStation players are also in for a treat during the month of April. Starting April 19th, action RPG game Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition will join the PlayStation Play at Home list of free games. PlayStation Plus owners will also be able to download Odd World: Soulstorm on PlayStation 5, and both Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War for the PS4 starting April 6th. Regardless of how the gaming setup looks, PlayStation gamers have lots of free games available and more coming during April.
