If you love Warframe, there's no shortage of excellent titles you should try out. It's not as if you'll run out of things to do in Warframe itself anytime soon, as you can spend hundreds of hours grinding for the perfect character, and the devs at Digital Extremes have been thoroughly committed to adding content and substantial updates. But it's always nice to have options.

Waframe really raised the bar for free-to-play titles with the wealth of content put at the player's disposal, and the thrilling, action-packed multiplayer action certainly doesn't hurt matters. Each of the following games execute at least one ingredient of Warframe's recipe for runaway success incredibly well, so you're bound to find something you'll enjoy.

These have also been seen in regularly-released games as well, meaning there are several games that are similar to Warframe. Since many players may have gone through the list of games originally mentioned, it’s worth checking out the additional entries to have more options when selecting your next playthrough. It’s also a good idea to mix things up as well. So, in addition to playing games that stick close to Warframe’s style, there are also titles that are massive in content but have directions of their own.
15 Payday 2
Similar to Warframe, Payday 2 also focuses on working as a unit and delivers its entertainment value through elements found in the environment. Payday 2’s charm lies in the teamwork involved, although players can work alone as well.
By completing heists, more options become available, leading to greater playing value. The number of ways the heists can be completed is one of the biggest selling points for the game. Not to mention the thematic qualities that are aligned with Warframe despite the vastly different backdrops for the games.
14 Saints Row IV
Despite the fanbase it’s collected, there’s no doubt the backstory of Warframe being about a race of warriors from the past fighting in the future is bizarre. Due to this, fans will like Saints Row IV for its similarly ridiculous concept of fighting an alien with superpowers while controlling the president as the playable character.
It doesn’t have the same shooting mechanics as Warframe, but Saints Row IV can be considered as a palette cleanser of sorts for delivering the massive environment fans went along with its own take in gameplay.
13 Fortnite
Most won’t need an introduction to this game, seeing as it has hundreds of millions of players. Fortnite can be considered as Warframe’s scale taken to over-the-top levels, as the gameplay is essentially a grand battle royale.

It has had distinct versions released, ranging from fighting zombies to creating new worlds, and engaging in last man standing contests. With so many players participating at the same time, there’s a lot of action to be found here.
12 Anthem
Essentially the same as Warframe, Anthem revolves around characters known as Freelancers who wear exosuits to fight against numerous foes who threaten humanity. Anthem has the basic premise of a game of its genre, complete with online multiplayer.
There are other gameplay techniques like RPG elements and romantic subplots, although the main focus remains on exploring the world and heading into battles with your co-players.
11 Let It Die
A free-to-play game like Warframe, Let It Die doesn’t have as much versatility as Digital Extremes' title. However, for those who are fans of games with plenty of levels and a difficult gameplay experience, this one is the best option.
Let It Die has role-playing elements to go with the hardcore action involved. Let It Die’s combat is closer to something like Dark Souls than Warframe, but its seemingly endless foes set Grasshopper Manufacture's game apart.
10 Warface
It can be argued that Warface and Warframe are dissimilar, and it's only the name that bears a resemblance. However, it's hard to ignore that they both came out in the same year and have comparable gameplay.
Microtransactions can get in the way of competitive PVP, especially for Warface. While Warframe integrates a smart micropayment business model that supplements its loot rewards system, Warface is not subtle about pay-to-win. Nevertheless, many enjoy Warface for being a great MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first-person shooter).
9 Titanfall 2
The sequel to Titanfall was an instant classic. The decision to add a single-player campaign and polish the multiplayer was gaming ingenuity. In Titanfall 2, players are known as "pilots," who command "Titans." Titans are mecha-style robots capable of utter destruction. A blend of player versus player and titan versus titan combat creates a mind-blowing experience.

Warframe enthusiasts will find delight in playing Titanfall 2. Both games contain a futuristic setting, with Titanfall 2 on a distant planet and Warframe in outer space.
8 Mass Effect Trilogy
Mass Effect and Warframe are different, but they both fall under the action-adventure roleplaying genre. These are two games that take place in outer space, and use a spaceship as their central hub. Mass Effect uses the iconic Normandy SR-2 for Commander Shepard's base, while Warframe uses the Orbiter. Warframe allows for more spaceship customization than Mass Effect, despite being a free-to-play game. Indeed, Warframe may have more spaceship customization than any other game.
7 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
When we think of the greatest role-playing games of all time, only a handful of titles come to mind. Warframe might not be in the same league as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, yet both are exceptional in their own right.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic uses a spaceship for its central hub like Warframe. Both games have crafting menus for players to upgrade their gear. What Waframe lacks in mission quality it makes up for in variety and online co-op functionality.
6 Tom Clancy's The Division 2
While the first The Division was set in a futuristic, snowy New York City caught amid a global pandemic, The Division 2 introduced a more temperate climate. The Division received numerous patches after launch, so it might have been better if the devs stuck with the first game.

The Division 2 has a unique loot system that is along the lines as Warframe. The gameplay is much slower-paced than Waframe's, but we can't forget that they are both looter shooters.
5 Borderlands 3
Borderlands 3 is, in many ways, the dystopian first-person version of Warframe. While Warframe has more melee weapon variety, Borderlands 3 has a more developed loot system unique to each player. You see the same loot items as other players. If an item drops, both players can pick up one of two identical items. Whether you prefer the surreal space exploration setting of Warframe or the beaten-down future of Borderlands, both games are worth playing.
4 Diablo III
When it comes to loot-based games, Diablo III is one of the biggest names. Diablo III is a top choice if you're looking for fun and addictive gameplay coupled with a polished loot system. The Diablo series helped popularize loot-based games. Diablo IV might be a long way off, yet Diablo III continually introduces new seasons packed with unique items for players to relish.
3 Path Of Exile
In a video game market filled with a string of Diablo copycats, Path of Exile is arguably the best of its kind. Warp into the grim continent of Wraeclast as you embark on a quest for revenge. This is a game that was created by people who love to play video games. Path of Exile brings enough fresh content to make it relevant, yet it doesn't stray too far from the subgenre.
2 Monster Hunter World
Some video games have a substantial grinding for experience points component that becomes the focus. Grinding for experience points can be fulfilling for players because it goes hand in hand with finding loot and playing with friends.

Monster Hunter World is comparable to Waframe for a plethora of reasons. The quests are unique, but the act of questing is similar. Monster Hunter World does not contain interplanetary travel, yet one can easily compare the two action role-playing games.
1 Destiny 2
Bungie's Destiny 2 might not have the free-flow motions that Warframe has, but both games do involve acrobatics. With a comparable loot system and gameplay, Warframe made strides before the first Destiny was released. Destiny 2 and Waframe allow players to travel to different planets and moons in our solar system. If you enjoyed Warframe, chances are you'll love Destiny 2.
