The first major patch of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 has arrived just a few days ago. The 16.10 patch consists of bug fixes, weapon balancing, and other usual things players have come to expect with Fortnite's regular updates. While there wasn't the introduction of any new weapons to the island, one has made its triumphant return: the Egg Launcher.
Epic Games' popular free-to-play battle royale is now well into its third week of Season 6. Dubbed "Primal," the new season has seen many changes to Fortnite's meta, including the addition of fauna (of varying threat levels,) a primal weapon crafting system, map alterations, and other somewhat divisive changes.

Starting April 1 (no fooling,) players will be able to wield the explosive projectile gun. The Egg Launcher is a seasonal weapon similar to the Big Chill Grenade Launcher, making temporary annual appearances around the time of Easter since Season 3 of Fortnite's first chapter. This time around, however, tracking down the Egg Launcher is as easy as it's ever been.
The weapon is available from Uncommon rarity all the way up through Legendary, and basically can be found just about everywhere. Players can find any of the rarities simply by opening chests around the island. However, it does get a bit convoluted for other locations. While the Uncommon or Rare Egg Launcher can be found as floor loot, the Epic and Legendary versions can also be found in Rare and Bunker Chests, in addition to Supply Drops.
Although it may seem like something entirely up to chance, there's also a much more surefire method to getting it. Revealed by a YouTube channel going by the name "HELLOO," players can talk to a new NPC on the island. That NPC is Webster, a duck that bears the resemblance to some sort of abandoned Chuck E. Cheese animatronic. As shown in the video, players can find Webster walking around near the gas station located southeast of The Spire, right at the cusp of where the green and orange ground meet. Players will then be able to exchange 400 Gold Bars for an Uncommon (green) Egg Launcher.
The Egg Launcher's return comes as part of Fortnite's Spring Breakout event. The springtime event introduces several new Easter-themed skins, including the previously mentioned Webster. Fortnite is introducing the Spring Breakout Cup on April 2, where duos who earn the most points in their region will be rewarded with the nightmarish duck skin.
The Egg Launcher is a powerful explosive weapon, with its projectiles able to stick to surfaces. However, players will also want to keep a lookout for another egg-related item. Players can now find Bouncy Eggs on the island, which grants an advantageous low-gravity effect.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
