Xbox Game Pass has been a revolutionary service for gamers all around the world, offering a ton of games all under one convenient subscription. While Xbox Game Pass already features a strong lineup of games for subscribers to access, there are still some titles that could make it even stronger.

With new games coming to and leaving Game Pass every month, there are a few games that Xbox could add in April to hammer home just how important it is to the future of Xbox as a whole. While some of these games are more realistic than others, these are the titles that would round out the service's offerings if Xbox was to add them to the roster.

One of the best things about Microsoft's Bethesda acquisition was the addition of 20 Bethesda titles to Xbox Game Pass. For decades, Bethesda has been releasing triple-a titles worth playing. While something can be said about the state in which those games launch, it's hard to deny that the publisher has had a major impact on the games industry as a whole.

That makes the games that Bethesda is offering fans a big deal, and while there's certainly no shortage of RPGs currently on the service, the glaring omission from the 20 Bethesda games on Game Pass is Fallout 3, Bethesda's first entry in the series after purchasing the property and one of the most iconic games of the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation.

With the other console Fallout games already on the service, Fallout 3's absence is particularly noticeable. It's not clear why the game was left off the list in the first place, though it's fair to say that the franchise's advocates would love to have it added. With Microsoft's ownership of Bethesda, it's a no-brainer addition.

After working on the first two entries in the Dead Island franchise for publisher Deep Silver, Techland began work on an evolution of the formula, introducing parkour elements and denser zombie populations into its new game Dying Light. Released in 2015, Dying Light didn't receive universal praise from critics or fans, but it wasn't anything to scoff at either. It was one of the early examples of what next-gen consoles could do, and it's received excellent post-launch support in the time since with DLC like Dying Light: Hellraid.

With a new entry somewhere on the horizon, Dying Light would be excellent for the Game Pass roster. It's a guaranteed way to generate hype for Dying Light 2, which has had little in the way of updates since its reveal. The nice thing about Dying Light is that it feels like a departure from other RPGs thanks to its parkour mechanics, which few first-person games are bold enough to try.

Not to mention, Techland is in dire need of some positive feedback right now. There have been reports that Techland is fostering a hostile work environment, something particularly abhorrent during the coronavirus pandemic. It seems that Techland is beginning to up the speed of its marketing push for the game, but fans are still stuck with many question marks about it. Adding Dying Light would be a big win for Game Pass, and likely have more people keeping tabs on Dying Light 2.

Rumors that Ubisoft Plus could come to Game Pass have circulated for a while now, though nothing solid has emerged just yet. With EA Play already being on the service, it doesn't seem too far out of the question that Microsoft could cut a deal to make such a thing happen, but as it stands Microsoft doesn't necessarily need the boost – at least not yet. However, there are some games that seem like obvious additions to the service.

Watch Dogs Legion released at an interesting time, debuting in October 2020. That was just a few weeks before the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, a time where many anxious gamers were still penny-pinching in hopes of picking up a console. Plus, Ubisoft's other major release of the year, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, launched alongside the two new consoles, overshadowing Watch Dogs Legion to a degree. With the Watch Dogs franchise having a rocky reputation for three entries now, it makes sense to add it to Game Pass.

With a number of next-gen features, ray tracing being a big one, Watch Dogs Legion is an example of what the Xbox Series X is capable of, plus it would be a great option for PC players to test out their own gaming rigs. Opening it up to more players may help the franchise garner a wider fan base, which is something Xbox Game Pass excels at doing.

If there's any game that deserves a larger audience than it has, it's Yakuza: Like A Dragon. With a ton of the franchise's other games already available on the service, it seems like it's only a matter of time before Yakuza: Like a Dragon is added, which would round out the franchise's Game Pass offering.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon shakes up the core formula by turning to a turn-based combat system and adding in a new protagonist. However, it maintains a lot of the identity of the franchise, honoring the often strange storytelling present throughout the other games. It's a delicate balance, but one that the game has been applauded for maintaining.

At the end of the day, more people deserve to be introduced to the franchise through Yakuza: Like A Dragon. It's a clean jumping-off point, and that makes a strong candidate to come to Xbox Game Pass. There's not a lack of representation for the franchise on the service currently, but it would be another triple-a game that Xbox could use to entice more gamers to subscribe.

There's an endless number of games out there that would be a great fit for Xbox Game Pass, but these are some of the most obvious examples of what Xbox could add to Game Pass for April 2021. While they aren't guaranteed by any means, they would fill a lot of wholes the service currently has. And who knows, maybe Xbox will manage to snag one or two of them as new additions.
