Guardians should all thank the Fireteam Redeem for completing the Last Wish Raid and unlocking the Corrupted Strike for players around the world. After Riven was slain, a new mission called the "Broken Courier" was unlocked for all guardians to complete as well. The strike takes place in the City of Dreams, which was added in the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion.

Bungie did an amazing job with the Forsaken update, and Fireteam Redeem will go down in history as the first squad to defeat Last Wish. To locate the Corrupted Strike, players will need to find a Tincture of Queensfoil.

Guardians can find Tinctures of Queensfoil throughout the Dreaming City, similar to the essences in Shadowkeep. Players should participate in patrols, public events, and Petra bounty missions. While the Tincture is a rare drop, players should be able to get ahold of the item after a few activities. Once acquired, players should drink the Tintcure of Queensfoil and look at their map while in the Dreaming City. The Corrupted Strike will appear north of the Dreaming City near Rheasilvia.

Once players have fast-traveled to the strike, they will have to make their way through a handful of yellow bar enemies. Guardians can choose to avoid them or take them out. Also, the strike limits Fireteams to just three guardians. After passing through the door to the strike, gamers will have to jump to the left to get past an invisible wall. Once inside, guardians will be trapped in a room with no open doors. Instead of trying to access the doors, gamers should simply walk back toward the doorway and into the dark portal . This portal will initiate the descent into the heart of the temple.

While traveling down into the dungeon, players will have indicators to guide them. Gamers need to mind their jump abilities while falling down the cliffs. At the bottom of the cliffs, gamers will have a dozen or so taken to kill before advancing. Almost all of the taken are adds until gamers make their way through the portal at the bottom of the dungeon. The portal will transport players into the heart of the dungeon.

After taking the first portal, guardians can kill the adds along the way, or speed run to the next portal. Speedrunning is easier, but the enemies will not take long to eliminate anyway. The second portal will teleport players into the Ascendant plane, where they will have to confront and kill Sedia, the Corrupted. The path to Sedia includes a number of large jumps, so players may want to tinker with their trees before attempting to navigate the obstacle course. Sedia will not pose too much of a threat to players at first. Guardians with a soft cap power level will not have trouble fighting her the first time.

Guardians will confront Sedia on the path to the heart of the Corrupted. After taking half of her health, she will teleport further into the dungeon. Gamers should continue to follow the path, avoiding or killing taken along the way. Once players reach the objective marked on the map, Sedia will reappear. The boss spawns on a suspended platform, which is quite far from the objective. Guardians will be able to kill her faster if they jump onto the platform before engaging. Gamers can shoot at her from afar, but there are a number of adds near the outer platform.

Sedia will be stronger this time around, and gamers will need to use all of the tricks in their arsenal to defeat her. It is a good idea for players to pick up orbs of power beforehand so that they can activate their super at least once. Any of the AOE grenades will be effective against her as she will not leave the platform. For some reason, the second half of Sedia's health goes down a lot slower. Guardians should not be deterred if the strike takes a few attempts, as she is a formidable foe.  However, with well-timed grenades, supers, and some persistence, fireteams will be able to defeat her eventually.

Once Sedia is defeated, guardians will teleport to the Adytum, where they will find the loot chest as a reward. Gamers will have the chance to pick up legendary drops as well as legendary shards. The Corrupted Strike may be old content, but it is one of the more enjoyable strikes to attempt. The entire level has a Nightfall and raid-like feel. Gamers that have completed all of the Beyond Light PVE activities should head to the Dreaming City and complete some of the older content. Guardians will be able to pick up weapons and armor to get to the soft cap. The Corrupted Strike is also one of the quickest strikes to complete.
