Now the apocalypse will look even prettier and smoother.
Those lucky enough to own next-gen machines will be able to play The Division 2 at a higher resolution and frame rate soon.
That’s going by Ubisoft Massive community developer Johan Lindholm, who said on Twitter that Title Update 12.1 for the military shooter will be dropping on February 2. Part of this update is 4K 60 frames-per-second support for “next-gen consoles.”
There’s no further information aside from that, but safe to assume that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners will be benefitting from this up; there’s no word on the improvements that those with Xbox Series S machines will be seeing.
Title Update 12.1 also sees the previously announced Resident Evil crossover event dropping, with players able to pick up goodies including outfits and weapon skins themed around Capcom’s long-running horror series. This is going to be running until February 15.
Finally, this update will see Ubisoft Massive rebalancing the cost of Optimization Stations.
As well as The Division series, Massive is also working on a brand new Star Wars title with LucasFilm Games. Little is known about the project at the moment, save for the fact it’s an open-world story-driven title. The firm is also handling an Avatar adaptation, which is set to launch in 2022.
