A complete list of every legendary Double Gun players can get in Outriders.

It seems like every looter tries to introduce a brand new style of gun into the genre, usually with mediocre and mixed results, sometimes the idea is even so bad that the entire lineup gets patched out entirely. Outriders tried something brand new with the Double Gun and these are proving to be the exception to the rule. Boasting a mix of rapid-fire with doubled shots, expert gamers are building their characters around these guns and not their guns around the characters.

It's no longer even a cult following, the community loves these bad boys, and getting a legendary Double Gun of any variety will turn everyone who sees it green with envy. And that's not even saying about the color that the gun will turn opponents (parents may want to turn down the gore settings after acquiring one of these weapons). After trying it out, it won't be long before discovering what all the fuss is about.

  • Shots inflict Toxic.
  • Killing an enemy with 30% or less ammo in the magazine immediately replenishes the magazine.

Just ask the experts who journeyed to the top of the World Tiers, putting every egg in a single basket is a recipe for disaster. It seems fine to focus solely on Anomaly Power or physical damage, but enemies will come that counter these brilliant little schemes and that's where it comes in handy to have a gun that can do a bit of everything when enemies start to swarm.

The armor-piercing ability will be the most noticeable aspect of the Lucky Jinx, but the shots that inflict Toxic add some damage over time that guns don't normally apply. The Perpetuum Mobile mod is hard to use, but players who manage to kill enemies with less than 30% of their bullets left in the magazine don't have to reload.

It would be an exaggeration to suggest that this gun is an absolute can't-miss item or that there aren't better options. The synergies on this weapon don't usually go well together, so it requires a particular build to make use of all the perks, but it's a solid foray into Double Guns nonetheless.

  • Critical shots cause the enemy to explode, dealing damage to enemies within a 5-meter radius.
  • Killing shots increase Leech by 20% for 20 seconds.

While player style and preference make up a great deal of which class builds perform better than others, there will always be a couple that feel lacking even with the best gear. Players that build around critical damage will often wonder if it was ever worth it at all if the base damage never picks up. The Imploder assures that critical strikes are never disappointing.

The critical damage boost on the gun is nothing to sneeze at, but take a look at the Deadly Disturbance mod. Critical hits will damage enemies in an area, including the target of the attacks with a gigantic explosion. The Leech effect activates after killing shots, which is usually inconsistent, but even in groups, the buff lasts for 20 seconds, which is more than enough time to refresh the duration by scoring another kill.

Skills also Leech with this weapon to a smaller degree, but this does enable the freedom of choosing whether to shoot to gain life back or cast to gain life back instead. This kind of freedom is valuable when climbing the tiers.

  • Killing shots increase damage by 30% for 30 seconds. This bonus stacks up to five times but deteriorates gradually as the 30 seconds expire.
  • Critical shots do not consume ammo.

Does this gun look familiar? Those who watched trailers for the game and studied up on the concept design will have seen the Amber Vault already. The developers had bad news for people hoping for in-game romance but really great news for people that had deep feelings for superior firepower. When this Double Gun hit the screen, it was love at first sight.

So why was this featured so prominently in the campaign footage? For starters, critical shots don't consume ammunition, so it can fire for longer with some luck and a steady aim. Headshot enthusiasts will never run dry. The real boost here is the 30% damage increase for 30 seconds with killing shots. And this buff can stack can unreal five times over for a total of up to 150%.

Yes, the bonus damage begins fading over time, but the cumulative nature of the weapon always snowballs into stratospheric numbers. There is an incentive to kill mobs and then take out bosses when the mod is fully stacked, which is a perfect strategy for group play.

  • Shots inflict Burn.
  • Shots on enemies who are under 50% in health ricochet to three enemies within a 5-meter radius and inflict Burn.

For players that have bonuses to Burn damage (looking at the Pyromancer), this is likely the best gun in the game. Shelrog's Excrescence has a reduced clip size and fire rate to try and make it more balanced, but they might have to reduce the magazine capacity to zero if there is any hope for this gun being balanced out with the rest of the Double Guns.

Shots from the gun inflict Burn and, astonishingly, there is no cooldown on this status effect's application. This a guaranteed chance to set the enemies ablaze, it's unfair that the gun also gives a huge boost to status effect damage. That makes the gun doubly effective for players that have another status effect that they apply by casting an Anomaly Power.

The icing on the cake is that shots against enemies with less than 50% health will hit and apply Burn to nearby enemies. The large Leech number makes it so this gun is the only weapon that almost any class will ever need.
