The Canadian Game Awards 2021 is coming up soon to celebrate the Canadian side of the games industry. The Best Personality award aims to recognize prominent and influential personalities among streamers, journalists, and hosts, and the Canadian Game Awards has just announced its list of nominees.

The Canadian Game Awards is set to air on Friday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Best Personality award has some big names on its list. Perhaps one that many will recognize, especially for his work on producing The Game Awards, is Geoff Keighley. He's been a part of the video game conference E3 since its beginning, and worked with publishers to launch the Summer Game Fest in E3 2020's absence.

Many will also recognize Imane "Pokimane" Anys among the list of nominated personalities. A member of the OfflineTV house, she's one of the most successful streamers on Twitch, and broadcasts games like Valorant and Among Us. Kristen Michaela, better known as KittyPlays, is another Canadian content creator on the list of nominees. In interviews, she's spoken on her goals to celebrate women in gaming and expose young women to a love for the industry.

Naomi Kyle is best known in the gaming sphere for formerly hosting at IGN and its award-winning news show The Daily Fix. Since then, she's freelanced as a producer with many entertainment companies outside of gaming as well as with Blizzard Entertainment. Finally, Steve Saylor is a blind gamer prominently featured in many publications such as IGN and Gamespot. While he is a Twitch partner running a successful channel, he also advocates for accessibility in gaming.

The Canadian Game Awards 2021 take place Friday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
