Just as its Monster Hunter Rise Spirit event wraps up, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will get one themed after Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Spirit event to tie in with Monster Hunter Rise should be wrapping up today but, surprisingly, players won't have to wait too long for the next one. As it turns out, the game will be receiving another small batch of new Spirits in a couple of days, namely ones themed around Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

To be more specific, the three new Spirits come from the Bowser's Fury portion of the game, which is the new exclusive mode added to the Nintendo Switch port. First is Giga Cat Mario, the form Mario takes whenever he grabs the Giga Bell item. Weirdly, this Spirit is represented by a Mii Fighter rather than Mario, probably because there is a cat outfit for the Mii Fighters.

The second is all five of the differently colored kittens that can be encountered and they will be represented by five matching Kirbys. And thirdly is, of course, Fury Bowser. This one will be the hardest to earn, since players must fight a giant Bowser in a one-on-one fight and it's boasting a power level of 13,800.

The Spirits will appear starting this Friday on April 9th and run for five days, which should be enough time for players to obtain them all. Anyone who misses them shouldn't worry; all event Spirits get added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at a later date, though it's never clear when they will be (the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Spirits still have yet to be brought back).

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for Nintendo Switch.
