There are a lot of items to get in Monster Hunter Rise and one of the most notorious among them is finding the Elder Dragon Bone for crafting needs.

Monster Hunter Rise is the sixth entry to the popular franchise and there's no doubt that finding loot is still as prominent as ever. The level of depth for customization and crafting can be astounding with Monster Hunter Rise and there seems to be no end to finding different items. Of course, one of the most elusive items to find is the Elder Dragon Bone and there's a specific way to find it. It takes some strategic planning and patience, but in the end, it will be worth the effort.

The Dragon Elder Bone in Monster Hunter Rise can be a player's most prized possession. When it comes to the Monster Hunter series, the Elder Dragons always seem to be the culprit with whatever shenanigans that are happening in the world. Therefore, taking one out is no small feat. In Monster Hunter Rise, there are two main Elder Dragons that are causing chaos: Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa.

As usual, facing down an Elder Dragon happens when a player reaches the end of the story mode. The problem is that slaying Ibushi and Narwa doesn't drop any Elder Dragon Bones. Players only get the Elder Dragon Bone as a reward for completing the final quest.

Therefore, players must first complete the Rank 7 Quests before they can face Narwa and beat the game. Once players defeat Narwa and receive the Elder Dragon Bone, it won't be documented in the "Hunter's Note" on the menu screen. Instead, it will only be shown on the completed quest screen after Narwa is taken out. Also, it is possible to farm for Elder Dragon Bones by simply playing the "Serpent Goddess of Thunder" Rank 7 Hub Quest over and over, again.

An Elder Dragon Bone can be used to upgrade weapons and it's a Rarity 2 item. The list of weapons that it can upgrade is rather robust that ranges from Doom Bringer Blade, Diablos Spear, Mud Twister, Gnashing Flammensucher, Abominable Hammer, and Tiger Stinger II among others. Thus, this item can also be used to craft the "Narwa Armor Set" which has a total base defense stat of 380.

On top of that, this armor set also has; 10 fire, 5 water, 20 thunder, -15 ice, and -20 dragon element resistance. This item has nifty ways of enhancing the overall armor skill system that will ultimately help players out.

With this armor set, equipping any Narwa weapon will gain a bonus +15 attack. Of course, there are a number of other items needed in order to craft this armor set. They can be gained by slaying Narwa and by looting her body. The finishing touch is getting an Elder Dragon Bone that can be only obtained, as mentioned before, by only completing the last Rank 7 Hub Quest. The Elder Dragon Bone can take some work to collect, but it will make a player's character be a force to be reckoned with.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available on Nintendo Switch and will be available for PC in 2022.
