A new bug is found for sniper rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone, where adding a specific attachment can remove glint causing a huge advantage.

Though Call of Duty: Warzone is a Battle Royale, it still brings the classic shooting fans expect from the series. The entry by Infinity Ward and Raven Studios still includes playstyles from running and gunning to camping with snipers. Now a recent update to Call of Duty: Warzone may make camping even likelier, as it has added a bug that removes glint from sniper rifles.

Since this type of weapon can be so powerful at long range, there is a specific tell that exists to warn targets. Glint is typically a bright, distant shine that appears when a player using a sniper rifle scopes in for the kill. Thanks to this mechanic, unaware competitors have a chance to dodge behind cover or fire back. Without it, those playing with the best sniper rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone have an incredible advantage.

YouTuber JGOD reveals that any player can access this special bug just by adding a certain attachment. According to the video, anyone scoping in will be undetectable by other players in the match. The problem is, this glitch is appearing in both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer and Warzone. JGOD even goes on to explain the best Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts competitors will want to bring into the match to dominate.

The YouTuber suggests equipping a Kar98k sniper, in part because it already can have a powerful loadout. Next, jump into the Optics setting for this particular gun and select the Variable Zoom Scope. With this attachment, glint will no longer appear for those aiming their sights at unsuspecting enemies. That said, if the user prefers a different sniper rifle that is still no problem. As long as that particular Optics mod is adding, glint will not exist when scoping.

This issue is certainly going to be problematic for the teams behind Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. No doubt that once the bug catches on, most players will be entering matches with overpowered sniper rifles. This will definitely add to the backlash toward League Play since players will be looking for any advantage to get ahead. Fortunately, making sure glint appears should not be a problem that requires a massive investment of time to resolve.

Unfortunately, this comes as yet another glitch messing up Call of Duty: Warzone. It is difficult to take multiplayer seriously when any player can use a simple bug to become unstoppable. Then again, if most players are using "No Glint" sniper rifles, that could likely be an intense game mode all in itself. Nevertheless, the developers will likely be shooting out a patch for this bug sooner rather than later.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
