It seems The Pokemon Company has no intention of slowing down in creating Pokemon Sword and Shield excitement, even months after the game's launch. With special Max Raid events cycling almost every week, and a very active online battle scene for its competitive players, the company has now also prepared something Pokemon Sword and Shield-related for its toy collector fan base. This time, the company is bringing one of the game's rival trainers, Marnie, to life via a Figma action figure.
The Marnie Figma is not the first figure to come out of the Gen 8 Pokemon title. Last year, Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for a Figma action figure for Gloria, Pokemon Sword and Shield's female main character. With the release of Gloria's figure slated for June 2021, it seems both companies have decided that now would be the perfect time to announce a new addition to the Figma line.

In a recent Twitter post, Good Smile Company Japan announced that pre-orders for the Pokemon Sword and Shield Marnie Figma have opened. Fans can order the figure through the website until March 10, 2021. The poseable action figure will come packaged with one outfit, her iconic studded backpack, several interchangeable face plates and hands, and mini-figures of Morpeko.
One thing fans must have noticed about the package is that Marnie's Figma will come with two versions of her equally popular partner Pokemon, Morpeko. Though Gloria's Figma will come with the three starter Pokemon from the Galar region, Marie's Figma will be packaged with the Electric-type and Dark-type versions of Morpeko. By having the two types of Morpeko available, fans will likely feel the need to add this figure to their Pokemon toy collection.
Marnie's Figma is slated to be released this November 2021. It is currently priced at 8,182 yen or $79 USD. Depending on where fans purchase the figure, they will receive additional pre-order bonuses. Those who purchase the exclusive from the GSC Japan site will receive a Marnie cheer trumpet, similar to what her fans carry in Pokemon Sword and Shield. However, those who purchase from the Pokemon Center Online site will receive a Marnie fan towel instead.
With the figure currently only open for pre-orders in Japan, Marnie fans will either have to find a proper proxy shopping service or wait until GSC announces an official English release. With only Marnie and Gloria pending release as Figma toys, fans are hoping that other popular Pokemon Sword and Shield characters will hit the collection in the future.
