The first Weather Week event is currently active for all Pokemon GO players. With it comes plenty of exclusive increased Pokemon spawn rates and tasks to complete, but another prize is only available this weekend.
From March 27 at 10:00 a.m. to March 28 at 8:00 p.m. in players' local times, Rayquaza will be appearing again as a raid boss in Pokemon GO. This Legendary Pokemon has appeared as a raid boss in the past, but it is unknown when Rayquaza will appear again after this.

Rayquaza is a dual Dragon and Flying-type Pokemon originally from the Hoenn region and Pokemon's third generation. Fitting with the Weather Week event, Rayquaza is the leader of the Weather Trio Legendary Pokemon, which also includes Kyogre and Groudon.
Considering the limited amount of time players have, those who want to catch Rayquaza in Pokemon GO are recommended to challenge it as a raid boss as soon as they can. Due to its legendary status, it will not be an easy battle if players try to fight by themselves. It is best to challenge it with other players in the area, or gain help by inviting friends to join in the battle remotely. Those who catch Rayquaza during this raid weekend will have the Pokemon know the event-exclusive move Hurricane. This may not be Rayquaza's best possible charge move, but it still is a powerful one.
Due to Rayquaza's typing, it is weak to Ice, Fairy, Dragon, and Rock-type moves. However, it resists damage from Fighting, Water, Bug, Fire, Grass, and Ground-type moves. With how strong it is, players and their allies should use Pokemon with movesets that can take advantage of Rayquaza's available weaknesses.
The Weather Week event itself will be ending on Monday, March 29 at 8:00 p.m. in players' local times. After it is done, players will have plenty of other events to look forward to in Pokemon GO, such as the Spring into Spring event and the Rivals' Week event all coming in April.
Other raid bosses are also available at this time other than Rayquaza. For Legendary Pokemon, this includes the Therian Forme of Thundurus, which has been newly added into Pokemon GO. Players can also challenge Mega Houndoom, Mega Manectric, and Mega Abomasnow for mega raids. Those looking for raid victories but less of a challenge are also able to challenge Tynamo, Shinx, Mukrow, Slowpoke, Pelipper, Lickitung, Poliwrath, and Swellow.
Pokemon GO is available now on Android and iOS devices.
