Lords of the Fallen, the spiritual successor to 2014's Soulslike with the same name, hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC last month – you can read Game Informer's Lords of the Fallen review here. After a recent patch a few weeks ago that made the game easier and added in some Halloween festivity, developer Hexworks and publisher CI Games have released its schedule of content for the game and it includes new questlines, two new events, more armor and weapons, and more.
The roadmap also includes a "regular weekly cadence of updates focusing on bringing further stability, performance optimization, and balancing improvements to the game, including its online crossplay experience."
Stopping short of specifics, Hexworks says before the year's end, it will add multiple new quest lines to Lords of the Fallen, with the opportunity to unlock some unique armor sets and weapons. The studio says some of this armor and weaponry has been co-created with the community during recent collaborative livestreams. Plus, the studio says "players can look forward to 12 new spells, new finisher attacks, and a whole host of community-requested features, including the recently revealed New Game Plus (NG+) modifier system – a first for the genre, and highly anticipated by the Lords of the Fallen community."
"At Hexworks, we're incredibly proud of the open relationship we're fostering with our community," studio head Saül Gascon writes in a press release. "We are actively listening to their constructive feedback and working diligently to deliver what we believe, collectively, will elevate Lords of the Fallen further. Every addition to the game is a labor of love, as we strive to push both it and the genre's boundaries."

Earlier this year, we previewed Enshrouded, an upcoming survival action RPG from Keen Games, the developer behind Portal Knights. And while we didn't get to go hands-on with the game, we were impressed with all the things it's doing to make the formidable survival genre more approachable. After its May reveal, Keen Games released an Enshrouded demo as part of Steam Next Fest, giving players a chance to try it out. Now, the studio has revealed Enshrouded will launch into early access next year.
More specifically, Enshrouded hits early access on PC on January 24, 2024. Keen Games says this is a big moment for the team as Enshrouded is its first self-published game in its nearly 20-year lifetime, noting that this early access release is arriving a little later than originally planned.
Check out the Enshrouded early access release date trailer below:
Talking about the later-than-expected early access release date, Keen Games writes in a press release that in over 20 years of experience "in a tightly knit team, they have learned to expect the unexpected."
"The release date was chosen as it was important to the team to carry the monumental success of the demo with a high-quality Early Access launch," a press release reads. "The team shares this announcement with much excitement and gratitude to the community for their support so far, including the surprise critical success of the Steam Next Fest demo."
Enshrouded was the most played demo of Steam Next Fest, and also the most wishlisted game as well as the demo with the "most daily active users," according to Keen Games. The studio says it utilizes Portal Knights as the spiritual foundation for Enshrouded, taking inspiration from other games in the survival space like Valheim while weaving in a more relaxing approach to the genre overall. "Weaving in elements inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Minecraft (in terms of openness and plethora of crafting and building options), the goal was to create a more welcoming entry to the survival genre and a space that wasn't strict so as to leave more room for fun," a press release reads. "Keen Games delighted in seeing players adventure, build, craft for hours on end, as well as dying, role-playing, and generally, having fun alone or with friends."
Enshrouded hits Early Access on PC via Steam starting January 24, 2024, with a full launch and console release planned for the future. For more about the game, read Game Informer's Enshrouded preview.

At Apple's keynote event last September, everyone expected them to announce the new iPhone, but nobody expected them to announce that multiple Resident Evil games would be headed to the device. Resident Evil Village hit the App Store just last week, and today, Capcom has let us know when Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming to the platform: December 20. You can see some screenshots from the Apple port below.
The game won't be available to all iPhone owners, however. Resident Evil 4 Remake will only be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, meaning you'll have to grab the newest product in order to play this game on the go. That said, it will also be available on iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later. If you're a diehard Apple fan and have multiple RE4 Remake compatible products, you'll be happy to know that the game also supports cross-progression between Apple devices, so you can start a save file on your Mac at home and pick it up on your phone when you're on the go.
The game is available for pre-order on the App Store now, but players will be able to start the game for free before committing to a full purchase. Its recently released DLC, Separate Ways, will launch alongside it as well. While we haven't been able to go hands-on with this version of the game quite yet, we like Resident Evil 4 Remake quite a lot: you can read our review for it right here.
