Building outposts in Starfield is one of the activities players can do without spending many credits. These custom bases are where players extract resources, create more storage, and set up research stations to unlock new gears. The ideal location to construct an outpost in the game is a planet with plentiful resources, as players will need Aluminum, Lead, and Sealant to make modules. One thing to note is that they must level up the Planetary Habitation skill in the Science tree to put outposts on hostile planets.
