The abandoned bunker can be found in the Vex-infested Eventide Ruins Lost Sector on Europa for the Lost Lament quest in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

Destiny 2’s latest expansion Beyond Light has added one of the best boss-killing weapons in the game's history, the exotic sword known as The Lament. Getting this sword requires players to go through a long quest exploring Europa, recovering dead Exos, and slaying legions of Vex.

The Lament has proven itself to be a hugely effective weapon in some of the hardest PvE activities in Destiny 2. It is especially useful against shredding Atraks-1 in the Deep Stone Crypt raid and is great against bosses and Barrier Champions in Nightfall: The Ordeal strikes.

After players have acquired the “Broken Blade” from speaking to Banshee-44 in the Tower, the next quest step asks players to explore Eventide Ruins for an abandoned bunker and go inside. The abandoned bunker that this description refers to is actually the Bunker E15 Lost Sector located deep underground in the Eventide Ruins.

Finding the bunker and clearing out the Vex that have moved in is not difficult so no specialist gear or subclasses will be needed. Firstly, players should travel to the Eventide Ruins area on Europa, whether that is by driving there on a sparrow from Cadmus Ridge or Asterion Abyss, or by using the new landing zone that was added in Season of the Chosen.

The Lost Sector is located within the giant yellow building that is right at the center of Eventide Ruins. From the Cadmus Ridge ice tunnel, players will be able to see it right in front of them. Head up to the building and go through the doorway that leads inside and turn right. There will be an entranceway slightly off the ground that is surrounded by icicles and metal bars. This is the Lost Sector entrance.

From the Asterion Abyss tunnel, the yellow building is in front and slightly to the left. Players should head up the ridge onto a large flat platform where some Fallen enemies will be and turn left. There will be a circular doorway with red lights on it. Head inside and find the icicle-covered Lost Sector entrance.

The Lost Sector is most easily found from the new Eventide Ruins landing zone. Players need to walk off the platform and turn around to find an oval doorway with some stairs that lead up. Into the yellow building. Head up the stairs and the Bunker E15 entrance will be right ahead.

Jump up into the entrance and follow the path all the way down. When players get to a small tunnel that emerges into an icy room with some Fallen inside, they will have reached the Bunker E15 Lost Sector.

Simply clear each room of enemies, defeat the Vex Hydra boss at the end, and open the black and orange chest at the end to get some rewards and the next step of the Lost Lament quest, which is to complete the mission “Reforging the Past," which finally rewards players with the Lament exotic sword.

Since the Lost Lament quest was added to Destiny 2, two more quests for exotic weapons have been added, with new missions for acquiring them. Hawkmoon’s Harbinger mission allows players to get random rolls for the Hawkmoon hand cannon and its exotic catalyst, and the Presage mission allows players to explore an adrift Cabal ship for the Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
