Guardians seeking to get the Bound Manacle will have to complete a few tasks in the questline beforehand. First, Destiny 2 players will need to locate the Essence of Insanity which can be found on the moon. Gamers may get lucky and find the Essence in a loot box, but that is unlikely.

One of the most consistent ways to get the Essence is to complete the Nightmare Hunt: Insanity. Unfortunately, there is no fool proof method for the Essence to drop. Gamers may have to complete the Nightmare Hunt a few times before it will drop. Guardians that complete the hunt on Hero difficulty will have a much better probability of attaining the item.
Once players have the Essence of Insanity, they will have to get 100 grenade launcher kills in strikes, the gambit, or the Crucible. It will be much harder in the Crucible, and guardians should opt for either the Gambit or strikes.

Gamers should use Fighting Loin, which is one of the few grenade launchers that carries primary ammunition. Each strike will take only a few minutes, and guardians can get dozens of kills from each mission.
After completing the challenge, players can find the Bound Manacle near Sorrow's Harbor. Gamers should have the location discovered and can just fast travel to it. From there, players should proceed south through the large tunnel. Guardians can ignore the hordes of adds while traveling to the Gatehouse. In the distance, a small blue icon will appear indicating the base of the Gatehouse. Players will notice that there is an entrance that leads below the structure.

Gamers will have to fight a few Fallen as they follow the path down to where the Bound Manacle is located. At the bottom of the pathway, players will have to eliminate a group of adds and defeat the major named Ehrathur Eternal Blade. Guardians will have no trouble taking on the major, who will drop the Bound Manacle. Guardians can then travel back to the lectern and claim the Love and Death Grenade Launcher as a reward. Love and Death is a viable grenade launcher in all modes, and players will enjoy using it in game. The Love and Death questline is one of the quickest weapon quests on the moon. Guardians can complete all the steps in the quest in under an hour.
