Destiny 2's Warmind Cell builds are still very popular for PvE activities, so here are some top exotic weapon choices that can create them.

Season of the Chosen for Destiny 2 is ramping up with narrative tensions rising and more harder content becoming available to players. So far, the Presage exotic mission has taken the community by storm, and Grandmaster Nightfall strikes have launched with exclusive Adept weapons to chase. One of the best playstyles to bring into these types of activities is a Warmind Cell build, especially equipped with the Wrath of Rasputin mod. Here are some standout weapons in particular that make this mod shine.

Warmind Cells are a staple and versatile tool in Destiny 2's combat at this point. They are spheres of power that damage and/or debuff enemies inside a huge radius. Players can create them with Seventh Seraph and IKELOS weaponry. However, a select few mods allow for the creation of Warmind Cells using other means. For instance, the Wrath of Rasputin mod can create Warmind Cells with Solar splash damage.

The keyword here is "splash," which means only weapons that deal AoE damage will work. A must-have and perfect candidate for this is Xenophage. This heavy machine gun fires highly lethal explosive rounds, killing multiple enemies at once, from any range. Six or so multikills with Xenophage will spawn a Warmind Cell.

A very unique and potent bow, Ticuu's Divination was released this season and it easily creates Solar explosions. By priming a group of enemies, players can clear them with one arrow and get a Warmind Cell in return. Another, somewhat similar Solar weapon is Sunshot. This hand cannon also chains together Solar explosions, making it possible to generate multiple blasts in one move. These are some of the best choices for exotic weapons that do well in generating Warmind Cells.

The following weapons are more niche and trickier to use, as they can kill the player when fired in close quarters. First up is Jotunn, a fusion rifle that fires homing Solar projectiles. These explode on impact and light the ground on fire, which can make it effective against groups or a stationary boss. The other is One Thousand Voices. This fusion rifle fires a continuous beam of light that can be used to burn surfaces and enemies. After a quick delay, the burnt areas detonate violently.

All of the Solar damage effects discussed above can create Warmind Cells, but they come attached to exotic weapons only. A few legendary weapon perks can also work, despite being less efficient or harder to come by due to the nature of random rolls. Dragonfly is a good pick on precision weapons, but its explosion damage isn't often sufficient enough to kill nearby enemies. Cluster Bomb and Chain Reaction amplify the detonation of Solar Grenades and Rocket Launchers, but the player has to be careful not to kill the enemies with the direct impact damage of these weapons. Only the explosion/splash damage will trigger Wrath of Rasputin.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
