One of Fortnite's Season 5 Week 9 challenges instructs fans to emote at stone statues, and this guide is here to help with that task.

The Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 challenges are now live, and many players are currently busy working to complete them all. That said, some fans may find themselves stuck on one of these new tasks, as it requires some knowledge that cannot be ascertained simply by looking at the in-game map or reading the challenge description. More specifically, this challenge centers around performing an emote at stone statues, and this guide will help Fortnite players finish it fast.

The crux of this challenge is knowing where to find stone statues, and indeed there are two named locations that players should turn their attention to. The first of those locations is Colossal Coliseum, which is just to the northeast of the map's center, and there are stone llama statues at the north and south entrances. The other location is Coral Castle, where players will find rows of stone fish statues lining a path that leads into a large structure that is on the south side.

After arriving at one of these locations, players should simply perform any emote when standing near to the stone statues. Indeed, this is all that must be done in order to complete this new challenge, and fans should receive immediate indication that they have received a reward after selecting their preferred emote. That reward is 20,000 XP, which will push players ever closer to the top tiers of Fortnite's Season 5 Battle Pass.

To note, both Colossal Coliseum and Coral Castle are perfectly suitable for tackling this task, but fans that have still not completed the find the crashed plane's black box challenge may want to target the second of these two locations. This is because the relevant black box is located at the southeast corner of Coral Castle, giving players the opportunity to complete two challenges in fairly rapid succession. While doubling up on challenges in this way is certainly not requisite, it is something that fans that are interested in maximizing their efficiency should consider.

Additionally, there is another challenge that can be completed on an island that is not too far away from Coral Castle. That challenge is the one that instruct players to find a Hidden Bunker, and the island of interest is situated between Stealthy Stronghold and Craggy Cliffs. This makes completing the emote at stone statues challenge at Coral Castle even more desirable, as doing so opens up a number of options for how players can proceed.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
