Fortnite is by no means a new game, and the Tycoon game type making a splash in the popular title is just one of ways it is constantly reinventing itself. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is days away, and Epic Games is promising an ambitious solo experience with the Zero Crisis Finale. That said, for some the game still remains the fun, creative third-person shooter it was at the beginning, and Tycoon maps provide a simple grind for players to enjoy.
Fans of the classic RollerCoaster Tycoon series may be more or less familiar with Tycoon game modes. In Fortnite, players are beginner entrepreneurs tasked with collecting currency from a business, and using said currency to upgrade their income. Players also use their currency to upgrade their own base or fortress, as well as any weaponry to eliminate other players or zombies. While RollerCoaster Tycoon cemented itself as a classic franchise, the game type has also been familiar to popular gaming platform Roblox under various creators and types.

Upon loading into the game, players will need to select Creative, click Change, and then select Island Code. From here, players can enter the code of their choosing. Alternatively, players can load in and locate any featured portals in-game, which should have a console in front of them.

Although they are developed by third-party creators, anyone interested in the validity of the game mode can be sure that Epic Games plays a part in the process.
A huge part of Fortnite's popularity can be attributed to its pop-culture references and crossovers. Even now, after diving deep into the Marvel universe, the franchise recently confirmed leaks for skins of Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter. It's safe to say that Epic Games doesn't have plans to stop any time soon.
With Chapter 2 Season 5 coming to an end, any players looking to level up their Battle Pass and complete their challenges had better do so soon. The final set of challenges arrived a few days ago, and by next week they'll be a thing of the past.
Fortnite is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
