Hu Tao is a rumored upcoming five-star Genshin Impact character whose kit revolves around her job at the funeral parlor and low health.

Despite miHoYo's recent threats of swift legal action, a popular Genshin Impact leaker detailed the rumored Hu Tao's passive abilities and constellations to complement her previously leaked abilities and attacks.

Hu Tao is a rumored upcoming five-star Genshin Impact character. Many images of Hu Tao have surfaced online, first coming from an old Genshin Impact datamine that unveiled eight models of possible upcoming characters. Her appearance has changed a bit since, but otherwise, her overall design looks to be locked in for an upcoming release. Similar to Xiangling, she'll be a polearm wielder with a Pyro Vision, however, her general motif is much more spiritual because she works in a funeral parlor. Her Elemental Skill is titled 'Guide to the Afterlife' and her Elemental Burst is 'Spirit Soother.'

According to her rumored kit, Hu Tao will also operate as a healer in addition to DPS, similar to Bennett. Spirit Soother will unleash a blazing spirit attack that can regenerate a percentage of her health up to 5 times depending on how many enemies are hit. The effect is increased if her max health is below half.

As for Hu Tao's Constellations, some effects are also geared towards her max HP. For example, C2, or Ominous Rainfall, increases the damage from her Elemental Skill by 4% of her max HP. At C6, when Hu Tao's health drops below 25%, all of her Elemental and Physical RES will increase by 200% and her Crit Rate by 100% for the following 10 seconds. Additionally, her passive talent will increase her Pyro DMG by 33% if her health falls below 50%.

As for her Elemental Skill, Hu Tao can consume 30% of her current health to induce an ATK bonus on her own attacks, and her charged attacks will inflict an effect called Blood Blossom on enemies. At level 1, Blood Blossom will inflict 64% Pyro DMG, based on her max HP, and at level 15 can inflict 152% DMG.

Hu Tao's specialty dish is rumored to be Ghostly March, which is based on a dish previously mentioned by Mona to be called Vegetarian Abalone, but that food item isn't in Genshin Impact yet. When Hu Tao cooks a dish perfectly, she has an 18% chance to create a second "suspicious" version of the dish.

Unless miHoYo successfully stops closed beta testers and other dataminers from releasing information online, if Hu Tao is actually coming in the latter half of Version 1.3 after Xiao, footage of her gameplay will likely start surfacing online in the following weeks.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile devices, PC, and PS4 with a Switch version in development.
