After years of speculation over what it was or if it had been canceled, Atlus' Project Re Fantasy was unveiled as Metaphor: ReFantazio. The new RPG was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 and is being developed by Catherine developers Studio Zero at Atlus. For RPG fans and fans of the studio behind Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, this announcement was no doubt the biggest surprise of the showcase since practically nothing had been said about the game since its 2016 announcement.
