After cancelling last year, E3 is back in 2021 with many of the big names set to return, one of which being home to many big franchises: Ubisoft.

Although the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forced many social events to shut down in 2020, including the illustrious E3 convention, it will return with digital broadcasts for the 2021 season. Many of the expected companies have already confirmed a presence at the showcase including Capcom, Xbox, and Nintendo. One of the other big names in the industry, Ubisoft, has also stated that it will participate at this year's E3 showcase, with rumors and speculation already mounting as to what will be shown off.

Ubisoft is the home to some of the biggest names in the gaming market nowadays, with the Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed franchises ranking among the most popular in the genre of open world games. Additional DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortal Fenyx Rising is a possibility, but gamers usually tune in to see brand new material. While some fans still hold breath for a new Splinter Cell game and others await news on the next Rayman game, there are a number of far more likely options to appear at Ubisoft's showing.

The Far Cry series has been on a roll ever since the landmark third installment back in 2012 breathed exciting new life into the franchise. Each new game travels to vastly different locations, with new oddball characters to contend with and even bigger weapons to use. Far Cry 6 looks to continue this trend, bringing on Giancarlo Esposito as the villain and placing the action on the fictional island Yara, largely inspired by Cuba's many exotic sights. For fans that just can't get enough of the mayhem this series provides, the VR experience Dive Into Insanity will bring them closer to the chaos than ever before.

Although initially set for a release earlier this year, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was delayed indefinitely for the developers to ensure the top level of quality for the finished game. The original is a classic action platformer and has a loyal fanbase that have been clamoring for a new release. While not a brand new game, seeing this beloved game with a fresh coat of paint is sure to be a delight for seasoned players and those experiencing it for the first time. With a few months already passed since its delay, surely Ubisoft will have more to say in time for its E3 showcase.

Fans of extreme sports should keep a close eye on this title first revealed during the Ubisoft Forward in September 2020. Developed by the same creative team that delivered the high octane thrills of SteepRiders Republic looks to capture those same thrills but on a whole new level. Adding in dirt bikes, snowboarding and skiing to the wide range of activities available, this exciting sports simulation game will also be an online multiplayer title with dozens upon dozens of competing players. More gameplay is sure to be featured as its estimated release sometime in 2021 is around the corner.

It's been a long time coming, but Skull and Bones should be ready for the spotlight again by this summer, though fans may want to temper expectation here some. First revealed back at Ubisoft's E3 2017 showcase, the title has experienced multiple delays until going completely silent. The gameplay for Skull and Bones so far showed off impressive naval battles, but it remains to be seen what comes of it.

The Rainbow Six series has been a big name in the tactical shooters for two decades now and that looks to continue with Rainbow Six Parasite. Serving as a spin-off to the more traditional style of the series, this game will include a deadly virus to contend with, providing a survival horror horror twist to the strategic military combat. Delays were possibly caused by the sensitivity of real world affairs like the aforementioned pandemic, but it seems like enough time has passed to let players bite into this newest Rainbow Six game.
