Gear 5 is Luffy's latest power-up in One Piece and most likely the greatest one that he will ever receive. This power-up is incredible in every way and that is exactly why Luffy only managed to tap into it in the end game of the series. In the Wano Country arc, Luffy lost to Kaido several times and at the end of it, he ended up dying.
